Title: Comrades, Nationalise The Agriculture Sector !
Post by Hung Uncut Black Muslim Jew on Oct 15th, 2026 at 7:23am
Northern Minerals, a Perth-based heavy rare earths developer, faces potential nationalisation by the Australian government.  Resources Minister Madeleine King confirmed this option on October 14, 2026, after China-linked investors defied federal orders to divest their shares.

The precedent has been set and the far right have been silent about nationalising.

Australia imports the vast majority of its fertiliser, with domestic production declining sharply to just 15% of total consumption in 2024.  The country relies heavily on global supply chains, with 62% to 69% of its urea and nitrogen fertiliser imports originating from the Middle East (specifically Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar).

Those imports are now gone.

It's time to focus our agriculture sector so mass starvation doesn't engulf Australians.

We all know capitalism is about creating shortages so to maximise profits.

This is not the time to grow cotton or grow as much meat and sugar cane, while ignoring the food basics of life. The small amount of fertiliser we have must be directed only to feeding this country. Once that is achieved, then the excess is stored or exported.

Comrades, this can only be achieved through nationalising our agriculture sector.

Cuba.

The United States has pursued a multi-decade strategy to overthrow the Cuban government, beginning with the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion and continuing through decades of covert operations, economic sanctions, and, more recently, renewed military pressure.

Still it survives.

How long would a capitalist economy last, being picked on in a similar way. 2 hours maybe ?

Absolutely we should nationalise our resources wherever possible.

First, it stops anyone else doing it.

Second, it goes some way towards repairing the damage that selling out to private interests did in the first place.

You idiots want to keep blaming immigration for everything. It's the uber-wealthy screwing us. Wakies.

Woo up

Think about this.

Do you really want to give the politicians of Australia more control?

Let alone over our farmers?

When was the last time you walked into a supermarket and there was nothing there to buy?

For that matter when have you ever gone hungry for lack of food availability?

Stop and have a long look at the endless amount of completely stuffed up government intervention that has failed completely and over run there budgets by billions.

Look at the "closing the cap" government policy.

Done nothing costs billions.

Don't reinvent the wheel that is working and dinner on your table because a government agency will leave you starving and paying more.

Quote:
The Soviet Union introduced collectivization (Russian: коллективизация) of its agricultural sector between 1928 and 1940. It began during and was part of the first five-year plan. The policy aimed to integrate individual landholdings and labour into nominally collectively-controlled and openly or directly state-controlled farms: kolkhozes and sovkhozes accordingly.

AI Question: how many died from farm nationalisation in russia

Between 6 million and 10 million people died as a result of the famine caused by the forced collectivization of agriculture in the Soviet Union during the early 1930s. This famine, particularly devastating in Ukraine, is often referred to as the Holodomor.

Sounds like a plan!

Rather than time travel nearly a century back in time  ...

295.3 million people faced acute food insecurity in 2024, with projections indicating 266 million remained in crisis levels of hunger by 2025. This represents a sixth consecutive annual increase, driven primarily by conflict, economic shocks, and climate extremes.

This under a global capitalist economic model.

Now with Netanyahu/Trump purposely forcing shortages in oil and it's derivatives such as fertilisers, to maximise profits, billions of people face starvation. in the years ahead.

Don't worry about it.  Every village has one.

It's been identified that the Coles and Woolworth duopoly is a reason for high supermarket costs.

What if the government removed payroll tax from IGA and Aldi?

To level the supermarkets playing field.

Would that help?

Removing payroll tax for IGA and Aldi would lower their labor costs, but it would have a limited impact on closing the price gap with the Coles and Woolworths duopoly due to market share and structural differences.

Coles and Woolworths use their massive volume to negotiate lower wholesale prices from farmers and manufacturers, a leverage smaller competitors and independent IGA stores cannot easily match.

ACCC noted that the problem is structural—concentrated market power gives the big two little incentive to compete aggressively on price, regardless of minor tax adjustments on rivals. Other proposals—such as mandatory pricing transparency, planning/zoning reforms, or divestiture powers—target market concentration more directly than payroll tax exemptions.

The better option is ...

Every second another human is added to the pile on Planet Earth....there is NO end in sight other than drawing up our bridges and going full Sinn Fein... call it what you like - Australia cannot cater to the entire world by destroying its own production of foods.

You can't eat money and once it cannot buy you can't eat anything.

Crowding this island nation with people will not resolve any of that - only make it worse...  NOTHING is being resolved by mass immigration, not even the long term 'budgetary considerations' of more cash coming into Government Central's coffers for them to waste on fripperies ..

The reality for Snake Chalmers is that by the time all that lovely flows in - if ever it does - from all this extra 'economic activity' - after the Usual Suspects cut their tax concession slices out or don't pay-a da tax in Farchindafrica why pay him here - INFLATION and increased demand for services and utilities will suck it all down anyway.  Swimming desperately against the flow...

Bonus Question:-  why is it an 'economic evil' to have your own people prosper reasonably, with more cash to spread around - but it is not an 'economic evil' to import more people and spread the dollars around to the same extent but thinner and still recoup the same dollar amount anyway?

Bonus Bonus:-  Why would more people 'stimulate' anything but poverty by spreading the dollars thinner and less able to buy?  Where is the economic stimulation, the industries, the farming, the houses going up, the better life for all in amongst all the rising crime?

Keating's 'overheated economy' - meaning the peasants are getting too much to spend, and we need a recession and huge mortgage interest rates as long as I continue to grow rich.

Wake Up, Australia!  You are being driven like sheep.

Which "climate extremes"? Not just one year's rainfall? Floods are not climate, droughts are not climate.

You mean resurrect the agriculture sector?

One of my arguments against mass murder of deer here (apart from the reality that they came across from Java as well) is that they compete with NOTHING - there are but one or two small cattle breeders around here, and no productive farms unless you reckon chicken sheds are farming, and thus they do not eat crops etc.

So - where are the farms?  All going into 'rural living' blocks... again to cater to the herds in cities and mass immigration driving sane people out ... and all of which produce NOTHING.
