Title: the United States is not a first-world country at

Quote:
.....  According to the 2020 Social Progress Index, which is the extensive measure of a country’s environmental and social progress, the United States, Hungary and Brazil were the only countries out of 163 reviewed to have gone backwards in the past decade. Ranking at only 28th for social progress, the United States has dropped 12 spots since its 16th place in the Social Progress Index of 2014. This puts America behind significantly poorer countries, such as Estonia, Cyprus and Greece. In accordance with the standards of the Social Progress Index, the United States is considered a second-tier nation.

Despite ranking first in quality of universities, the United States ranks No. 91 in access to basic quality education. While ranking No.4 in medical technology, it is No. 97 in access to quality healthcare. These statistics clearly show that despite the advancements that America has to offer, only a select few are actually on the receiving end of these benefits.

“The data paints an alarming picture of the state of our nation, and we hope it will be a call to action,” said Michael Porter, a Harvard Business School professor and the chair of the advisory panel for the Social Progress Index. “It’s like we’re a developing country.”

Research has shown that the U.S. middle class has been shrinking since the 1970s. According to the Pew Research Center, the amount of adults living in middle-class households has gone from 61% in 1971 to 50% in 2021, while the low-income tier has increased from 25% to 29% of the population. The widening of the income gap has led to a steady decrease in U.S. aggregate income in middle class households, falling 20% since the 1970s. In comparison, the share of aggregate income for upper-income households has increased from 29% in 1970 to 50% in 2020.

The Pew Research Center found through a 2019 national survey that poor economic conditions are affecting lower-income Americans. 65% of lower-income adults worry about paying bills on a day to day basis, and 55% of low-income adults frequently worry about paying healthcare for themselves and their families.      ...

Partially true sprint. The middle classes have gone backwards.
Same as here.
But the share market and the rich and the amount of money sloshing around has gone up.
Trump's lassez faire regulations have been great for entrepreneurs.

USA has 100 new entrepreneurs become millionaires for each 1: British success story.

As they say , you'll never be poor eating the crumbs from the rich man's table.
And there are plenty of rich men in america to offer your services to and get around.

It's the land of opportunities if you are not a chode.
My daughter's business boomed when she tapped into that market.
She can't believe just how much Americans have to spend.
Not the chodes, but the movers shakers and wealth creators.

In a Time interview published on October 1, 2026, President Donald Trump stated that "certain levels of inflation will also pay off that debt very rapidly," directly linking higher inflation to reducing the $40 trillion U.S. national debt.

The plan is to tax mericans even harder, through a collapsing dollar and higher interest rates. Lowering merican living standards faster.

Trump focused on finishing that southern prison fence for a reason. Keeping the banana republic citizens in, rather than the southerners out.

I read a while back that the middle class suffers the worst effects of globalisation. They are the ones directly competing with Chinese labour. We can't outsource our toilet cleaning to China, but we can outsource all our factory jobs. Our farmers should be happy though. The Chinese peasant can afford beef now.

Prosperity for one nation was always predicated on a severe imbalance in prosperity worldwide... remember the Empeye-ah imported cotton from Ind-ya, processed it into shirts and such, and shipped it back and sold at mark-up ... without a producing market and a mass market forced to buy trade simply stopped.

When the agreements were made to more or less equalise (LMAO) opportunity for ENTREPRENEURS to get into the market everywhere in the world, the reality rapidly became that those nations with the greatest potential to exploit labour prospered - well - their potentates prospered very much in the American way... and the West - well - it just dispensed with its labour force... too much trouble and cost too much, they said.... so they can eat grass (reference is to some settler responding to American Plains Indian complaints that under 'treaties' that guaranteed food they were starving) ...

The United States is a Saudi Arabian testicle sucking nation. Very non-Western.

What's worse is that current yields are even higher, with the current gauge from Bloomberg's US Treasuries index now around 5%.     ..........
