I would have said that you are more of a dendrophile.

Good word of the day Sprint!
Yes, I’m a nemophilist too!  :)
I live in this area. Although we are seeking to downsize to being where I can be a thalassophile, I’m already concerned how much I will miss the greenery and abundant wild life here.
I am also a nyctophile.

And, definitely a canophilist!

oh, you have struck a very raw nerve for me there.
i am very much a thalassophile.
Esp early winter mornings.
Since my accident i have not had my thalassophile addiction assuaged.
it's really depressing.
it hurts to be driven anywhere, i would have no area there to rest as i must, then the drive back home.

We have missed a whole winter there.   :'( :'( :'( :'(

Yeah that would be right - a nemophilist - "a haunter of the woods".

I bet you wear a big trench coat as well.  ;D

Nictophile. People can tell by the way I sleep through the day and become active at night.

I often am involved in Dendrolatry pactises.
Sometimes I am called there.

Some years ago I was told why a forest is not of one gender or another.
Told by a forest, of course. They were very happy when I realised the simple truth.
It showed my communication with a Forest was well, I was listening.

It’s good to go out and connect with a rooted tree by placing one or both hands on the trunk to defuse the negative charges in your body that’s built up with all the emf in and around our homes/office.
It’s grounding.
Even taking off shoes to connect your feet with Mother Earth is good grounding for body.

I just use Revitalife for the same effect. In fact, I go outside sometimes afterwards and see storm clouds form overhead.

That's new age nonsense -

just go to a forest -
sit down - close your eyes and -
breathe in the wonderful scents of trees and plants -
listen to all the sounds -
birds, frogs, animals and insects.

Everybody loves nobody - like everybody loves Raymond... still waiting for someone who did...

Grasshopper... sit silently amidst the stars and moon at night and grok on the universe as it slowly rotates past you.. it will come to you, as sure as you're Irish... this love of the sky at night...

I love the night sky....

I'm a pluviophile.

Nothing like fresh Petrichor in the air.

Forests beach waterfalls feature heavily in the second most translated book ever written
The tao ti ching.

Spent most of my spare time in nature.

What is sad for me is that people are not absorbing nature as a way to be at peace with natural cycles and their approaching death and decomposition back into nature
This reduces ego and helps calm the mind.

Rather,  at Moreton Island I found young people trying to take the perfect instagram shot and ignoring nature except as a prop to pump their ego.

Then the wife and I climbed Mt maroon recently for a dawn experience and again there were young well groomed instagrammers putting on make up to use mother nature as an ego fuelled state pump.

This is regrettable

We have been having showers on & off since April.

Just because your bubble in Rockhampton has been as dry as a dead dingoes donger doesn't mean everyone else has been.

Might have gone 2 or 3 weeks max with very little.

I spent much of the last 6 months not concerned about the weather. It was a warmish winter. Dry weather only concerned me when I looked at the backyard during one of my once-a-month lawn mowings. Apart from a few sections that turned green after the few light showers that month, most of the yard was bone-dry brown. I had to let the hose run over the yard for hours on end, just to get some green grass going.
