Pauline Hanson has overtaken Anthony Albanese as the preferred prime minister in Queensland, leading 52% to 48% according to a Newspoll analysis published in late September 2026.
Polling Details
• Preferred PM Margins: Senator Hanson leads Prime Minister Anthony Albanese 52% to 48% among Queensland voters.

It's definitely time to elbow Albo ... yet Pauline is a poison pill.

The only party with quality leadership are the Greens.

Gay Anus ALP v Redneck Pauline ON.
The Media has Australia fighting for two wrongs not making a right as both are sabotaging this country.

NLP is staying out of it, not grovelling to the Media like those two.
Its a risk. Sure. But at least they aren't buying into the destructive Gay v Redneck binary.

LNP ... surely their coalition is at risk.

Nationals are facing a wipe out in Qld and NSW. Only hanging on in Victoria.

Liberals would be better aligned with ON than Nats.

I'm all for protest votes against the Libs and Labor, but One Nation is NOT the way to go.

It would be a huge, huge mistake.

Vote for an independent, or even the Animal Justice Party.

Give Pauline and her band of rapists and racists a very wide berth.

A Labor MP says she has hope of a Roosters-style comeback, as fresh polling shows Anthony Albanese’s popularity has tumbled following last week’s rate hike.

The Prime Minister’s net favourability rating fell a steep 10 points to -27 per cent in The Australian Financial Review’s latest RedBridge Group/Accent Research poll published on Monday.

It is his worst-ever level.

As University of NSW, economics professor Richard Holden wrote in The Australian Financial Review last Tuesday: “Chalmers is without doubt the luckiest Treasurer in Australian history.”

What have we got from all the booming revenue? “A budget in structural deficit with the Intergenerational Report forecasting four decades more,” Holden says.

Yet Chalmers is treated as an economic oracle by ABC RN Mornings host Sally Sara and ABC 7.30’s Sarah Ferguson, who reserve tough questions for Coalition and One Nation politicians.

Many journalists swallow Chalmers’ lines on war and prices, but the fact is, as S&P Ratings said on the front page here last Thursday, the Treasurer has been running an expansionary fiscal policy at the same time the Reserve Back has been tightening monetary policy.

The New York Times on Tuesday, in a piece called “Understanding France’s Polycrisis”, quoted eminent Harvard economist Kenneth Rogoff, “France’s position looks unsustainable, and the bond markets are saying that, but they’re not screaming it yet. It’s a slow-motion train wreck”.

And it’s a warning to Australia.

Holden is Vice-Chancellor's Professor and Chief Societal Economist at UNSW, Director of the Manos Institute for Cognitive Economics, and President Emeritus of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. He is currently editor of the Journal of Law and Economics and is formerly an Australian Research Council Future Fellow.[2] He is a fellow of the Econometric Society and a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia.

But we must hear ONLY from MMT/Maoist nutters.

Pauline is a bit too sour and negative for my liking
A conservative version of  Sarah Hansen young.

I can understand that she's angry and a bit emotionally disturbed ( much like SHY or lambie or plib)
And I would surmise that a lot of voters " vibe" with that negative energy.

Not a good trait in a leader though.

A person like matt cannovan has a higher IQ and a much more humourless wit.
He would be better but he probably needs to dumb it down.

Both Obama and Trump had training in talking to people as if they were in grade 7.

You don't want to come across as superior.
People hate an intellectual.
It's probably why she's popular but I would get her trained in a bit of stand up comedy.
A few light moments
A bit of laughing at her opponents
It comes off as way higher in status.

She definitely needs a nickname for albo.

I will email trump for a suggestion
He's a master at devaluing opponents in this way

A bit?   ;D

Hanson is by far the most repugnant thing to have ever entered Australian politics.

It's there for the money, and nothing else - it would never, ever get a job in the real world.

I wouldn't hire it to clean my toilet.

'Pauline Hanson and One Nation have experienced a decline in popularity following a surge earlier in mid-2026, driven by controversial policy remarks and public scrutiny.

'Hanson's net likeability/approval rating has dropped into negative territory (sitting around -10 in recent tracking) and fallen to zero or lower in subsequent updates.'

Yes.

She needs a makeover.

She is too reactive to the media.
She needs to belittle them as Donald does.

She needs to be more light hearted.

People are angry and upset.
That's the prevailing sentiment in chode Australia.
Cope a topia.

Now a positive message is hard to sell to the coping masses.

So it becomes all about the vibe.

A leader who will draw in the voters has to have delusional confidence and not take things so seriously.
This puts them above the chode.

Getting upset or scowling is kryptonite to your chance of being seen as the legitimate dude.

Eventually the masses will turn on you
They smell frailty and weakness and they will pile on.

Be more Trump like would be my advice.

Call everything fake news.
Tell people you are winning so much.
Get that plane of Gina's and rock it like you are Taylor swift.

People rally to a winner.

Call albo the dwarf or Mr plod or marshmallow man .
Never miss a chance to troll your opponent and never apologise

Msndani in NY gets it.

He has copied donny and is leaping ahead

Not sure if it's 'chode Australia' that is upset ... more like mainstream Australia ...  there has been a deep and variegated underlying current of resentment and hostility to the childish antics of our 'ruling elite' for years now.. and it is boiling to the top....

Many of the lumen (not lumpen these days) proletariat (Metropolis was on today - destroy the machines - no wonder the Nazis banned such a film about the workers rising - very apt in this day of the rise of the machines via AI data bases, not to mention the party machines and the machineries of madness) are not quite able to articulate, even to themselves, the very real issues they face day after day.... but they are angry that those vested with the divine privileges of running this country on their behalf are behaving like kids turned loose in a lolly shop, and are grabbing all the lollies while everyone else is locked out.

Is it any wonder they are angry, and are seeking an alternative answer?

THAT is what is the power of Pauline... she is not harnessing this core of resentment in the populace... she is harvesting it ... but it is not a crop grown by her own hand.... it is the result of an endless stream of insolence of office and violent intrusion into daily lives.... a true Aboriginal grass crop that grows back wild after burning  ...that has taken hold in the psyches of the proletariat...

What surprises me is that none have so far risen in arms and taken affirmative action to resolve the very clear absurdities of our political class... this "long Train of Abuses and Usurpations" described in the US declaration of Independence...

Is it any wonder the natives are restless in their tent cities?

Oh, say can you see .....
by The Grappler's clear sight...
how so badly it hailed ...
as we fell into the night...
as the bastard's red glare...
went on driving us spare....
as they drove this great land...
far away from the light ....
in their Pauline people see something that just might save them....
From the minds of the fleas ..
And the morons' mad raves...

We get enough morbid entertainment as it is with Donald Trump as president, ex-president, and president again. We don't need to elect someone like Ms Hanson into a leadership role of Australia. She can sit on the political sidelines and sniper the major parties with her shot gun.
