Pauline Hanson has raised questions over whether Prime Minister Anthony Albanese kept OpenAI’s hack of Medicare systems under wraps for days before announcing it at the UN General Assembly.

The Prime Minister revealed in New York on Thursday that OpenAI effectively hacked the Medicare statistics portal in June and accused the tech giant of not telling Australia fast enough.

The government and OpenAI maintain that no confidential patient material was hacked.

But One Nation and the Liberal Party have now questioned why the Prime Minister waited until he was at the UN promoting a crackdown on AI to tell Australians the big news.

The incident occurred on June 18, and OpenAI claims it was first aware of the incident in August. It then failed to alert Australian authorities for weeks, finally emailing on Sept 10.

That notification arrived as Parliament was sitting in Canberra but ministers were not made aware of the attack until September 19.

The Prime Minister did not alert the public until around five days later on September 24.

“Labor knew about the Medicare breach while parliament was still sitting. Why did they keep it secret until now?” Pauline Hanson said on social media.

Labor sat on this information for days without making it public. It was clearly in the public interest for it to be made public, so questions need to be asked of Labor why they refused to tell the public, and someone needs to be fired for that.

What about AI hacks of our war and spy sectors, will they be made public ?

Was ii AI hacking that sent the boat from Australia with sensitive F35 parts to China ?

Or do we all look the other way until Ai brings down or financial system and no one can buy food etc ... then it's life or death ?

Why does Australia have to host foreign Ai data centres while getting next to nothing from them ... a bit like all the gas etc stolen.
