Having someone in the Oval Office who’s a Republican will mean Trump can get them to make deals that financially benefit him and use the office to shield him from any legal repercussions from his two corrupt terms as President. So I’d say he has a very strong interest in seeing a Republican as the next President because if it’s a Democrat, he’s cooked.
