Title: Rams Vs 49ers Post by Sophia on Sep 11th, 2026 at 9:20am
What a boost for the morale of Melbourne!
This is huge! At the MCG with 100,000 seat capacity. For some reason that doesn’t sound large enough. Watching it all live on tv with the lead up to the game soon! Amazed I am….that our Melbourne weather behaved! ;D I’m certain all the visitors from overseas were told to expect four seasons in one day ;D |

49ers will win. They've acclimatised a week ahead

Oops. Looks like the 49ers are playing like Aussies. ;D

I hope both team buses don't fall in the potholes on the way to the MCG. For such a big ticket event, perhaps a helicopter transfer would have been quicker - and safer

So far, the tourism promos of Victoria Melbourne have been the usual wildlife, landscape and nothing about the Australian people. ;D
This has been going on for like 50 years now. I think half time entertainment is some Aussie men in women's clothes. I'm not watching. :D |

Yeah I thought that too. But I hope the 49ers win because of their effort to socialise amidst Aussies and going to schools. Kudos to them! |

On paper. Rams are better. But it looks like the 49ers have won over Melbourne and rallied crowd support behind them for a winning vibe. Well done.
Sydney should adopt the Seattle Seahawks. |

I’m happy the 49ers won! That Brock Purdy is quite impressive. Quick thinking! This game is a quick. There was a general opinion that the Rams would win, maybe if they didn’t played while jet lagged after a 16 hour flight they may have scored better. I’m wondering if any of them knew how long these plane trips would be like, if any of them ever travelled very far from their own country? It takes me a good 24-48 hours to recover from a long flight. But that’s in crammed cattle class, I bet these guys went business or maybe first class? More comfortable with extra leg room and reclining seat position. Seems 49ers had the edge on that jet lag alone coming in earlier. I’m interested to go to a game at some point. But I never trust Melbourne weather ;D But wow what glorious weather it turned out today. Good ole unpredictable surprising Melbourne ;D |

It was a good game. Melbourne did well.
100,021 seated with just 3 seats left unsold. Now tell me, how can Melbournians afford these Sporting events. But can't afford to fill potholes and keep crime off the streets? |

Think of all those 100,000 homes being robbed by the Darkies while the Whites go to the MCG for hours.

Far out the Rams flew in, played the game, and are now flying back to the USA! :o
Glutton for jet lag :-? It’s not just a 16 hour trip, it’s the hours before when checking in unless they have priorities. And then checking out other end. Add all them hours up. It’s about 44 hours both ways. Since 49ers were more social and mingling, it’s any wonder their merch sold out very quickly! And more fans for 49ers than Rams. |

Those Ram players were rushed in, played the game, then went out to catch the flight early tonight.
We were discussing here at home tonight, and can’t stop thinking how harsh that was. I feel for the team, doesn’t matter how fit or young or strong, jet lag is a b1tch! That’s a tough day for them. They’d be knackered. But why? Why do it like that when the other team didn’t. Why not let the Ram team stay over a few days to get a feel for our country? I had to laugh, after the game, one of the 49ers wanting to do a shoe-ee ;D Good to see the San Fran team absorbing our yobbo culture ;D |

I watched about 10 minutes of the Rabbitohs vs Knights game tonight. It was more exciting than the 15 minute highlights package I watched on youtube of the Rams vs 49ers.

Yeah come on Sophia ;D 3 & a half hours to play 1 hour of game time? 2 x 30 min halves take 3.5 hours? In dispersed were stoppages for ads, timeouts & half time entertainment. Stared at 10.25am & finished at 2pm. Good grief. ::) ;D :P |

That's why American Gridiron followers can enjoy Cricket 🏏
And visa versa. As both games are statistical, specialised players and plenty of breaks to get more beer. |

Heroin addicts wake up from their comas to see the game being played. They admit that nothing much happens and that the game is slow.
