Alice Elisabeth Weidel born 6 February 1979) is a German politician who has been serving as co-chairwoman of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party alongside Tino Chrupalla since June 2022. Weidel has said she supports civil partnership for gay and lesbian couples, noting she is a lesbian herself and in a civil partnership with another woman. She opposes legalization of same-sex marriage, stating that she supports protecting the "traditional family". In 2017, Weidel criticized the immigration policies of Merkel, stating that "the country will be destroyed through this immigration policy. Donald Trump said that Merkel is insane and I absolutely agree with that. It is a completely nonsensical form of politics that is being followed here." Weidel's partner is a Sri Lankan immigrant. |

There is no contradiction there, if two people share the same values. [.....they are essentially, 'at one'.] And if the values which people share, condemn [abhorrent] cultural traits like murder, deceit, lying, theft and robbery. If good people love LIGHT [as being truth], they can presumably find peace and tolerance together. Q. Who is a 'good' person ? A. Is it person who cherishes empathy and tolerance.....and who also cherishes, LIGHT [i.e. integrity, truth] ? Not so ? But, imo, we should not have tolerance [or empathy], for that which is patently evil and cruel. And likewise.....we should express no empathy....for those who have shown themselves to be deceitful [i.e. they.....are taking away, LIGHT]. . Matthew 19:17 [Jesus said].....if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. |

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party intends to pursue criminal charges against German Chancellor Friedrich Merz through the courts. The move stems from remarks he made that the party considers defamatory and insulting.
Last Wednesday, Merz stated in the Bundestag that the AfD’s policy of repatriating migrants effectively promotes the idea of ethnic cleansing. He explained that, for the party, the term "remigration" is synonymous with ethnic cleansing—specifically, cleansing based on origin and skin color. In response, the AfD emphasized that such "defamatory insults" constitute a criminal offense and are completely unacceptable. |

Germany’s AfD, riding high after winning an eastern state, seeks to capitalize on its momentum in a series of upcoming elections — starting with municipal voting this weekend, followed by two closely watched state contests.
The first test for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party comes Sunday in municipal elections in the western state of Lower Saxony. A week later, the AfD has its sights on state elections in the capital, Berlin, and the Baltic coast state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The AfD currently leads other parties in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with about 35% of the vote. |

The "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) party has reached 30% in a nationwide poll for the first time, the "TVGram" portal reports.
This is 10 percentage points higher than the figure for the CDU/CSU bloc led by Friedrich Merz. Their support has dropped to 20%. The Social Democratic Party of Germany stands at 11%. In the 2025 Bundestag elections, the AfD received 20.8%. |

Is it the end for Merz? Though it’s clear that someone like Scholz would just replace him—a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for the Germans.
WELT: Merz cancels trip to New York German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) will not fly to New York for the UN General Assembly this coming Tuesday as originally planned. Politico and WELT learned this from government sources. "Contrary to initial plans, the Chancellor will not travel to New York next week because his presence is required in Berlin," the sources stated. The decision to cancel the trip comes amidst intense debate regarding Merz's political future and a potential "change of chancellor" following the elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Berlin, which are scheduled for this coming Sunday. A government spokesperson was unable to provide an immediate comment on the situation. Merz had planned to fly to New York on Tuesday—two days after the elections—to receive the Henry Kissinger Prize from the American Academy in Berlin and address the UN General Assembly. Next week marks the UN's so-called "High-Level Week," during which numerous heads of state and government address the General Assembly and hold bilateral meetings. The cancellation of the trip signals just how seriously the Chancellor's office views the domestic political crisis and the need to fight in Berlin for the future of the country's leadership and the government's course. |

Germany's political map is being redrawn as the CDU crashes below the five percent threshold in Merkel's own home state and the AfD surges to 38 percent in Mecklenburg while doubling its vote in Berlin.
With the SPD sliding into terminal decline and the CDU already hunting for a replacement chancellor, German politics witnessing a permanent realignment. |

Berlin is Germany's most left wing city so AfD doubles to 16 percent is very good result for a right wing party. |

Title: Re: Alice Weidel Post by Frank on Oct 17th, 2026 at 3:45pm Future leader of Germany @Alice_Weidel is saying it loud and clear: “We have to send them back.” It’s common sense. If you come here as a “refugee”, you have to go back when your reason to seek “refuge” is over. 100% of Syrians and Afghans have to go. https://x.com/EvaVlaar/status/2111074250002178486 |

So? So because her partner is an immigrant then all migrants via illegal mass migration should be allowed? Look at what is happening in Europe now - Weidel has been proven right ...no? Civil Unions for gay couples were all that should have been required in Australia as well. |
