Title: RFK Jr policies cause first measles deaths
Post by Armchair_Politician on Aug 29th, 2026 at 5:20pm
RFK Jr is a brain-damaged fruitcake and no one should be listening to any advice he gives regarding healthcare due to his obsession with easily disproven conspiracy theories - especially those regarding vaccines. Now, two people are dead from a disease that had been eradicated through a comprehensive vaccination program - until Trump was put back into the White House and he picked a halfwit who had worms literally eating his brain to be the top health official in the country. His advice and decisions are literally causing people to die. If this had happened during Biden's administration, the Republicans would be calling for his head.

RFK Jr said in a post on X, that the Democrats were guilty of "fearmongering, misinformation, finger-pointing, and the weaponization of infectious disease fears for political gain." Ironic, considering that is precisely what the Trump administration is doing - especially the misinformation!

Hey
@CIDRAP
why are you using a picture of a 1968 baby with a smallpox vaccine rash to publish scare stories about measles?

For those that don't know, smallpox vaccine is a live pox virus with 98% genomic similarity to smallpox and monkeypox, which are essentially the same virus.
https://archive.md/WN6s6

The baby in the picture arguably has a clinical variant of smallpox, which has not killed people since hygiene was invented in 1900.

The vaccine however, that's another story.

CDC busted posting picture of 1968 smallpox vaccine rash and passing it off as measles.

The idiots with TDS who dislike fit healthy JFK Jnr will never question the CDC even when they're busted posting bullshit.

Nobody said RFK Jr has absolutely forbade the use of any vaccine. He does, however, have a long history of spreading misinformation about vaccines and has used his position to alter vaccination policies that had been scientifically proven to be effective and safe. He fired the entire CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), replacing them with a hand-picked panel that includes figures known for sharing unproven claims about vaccine safety. He instituted a policy whereby routine vaccines for rotavirus, influenza, hepatitis A, and hepatitis B are no longer universally recommended for all children. He has publicly relied on studies linking vaccines to autism to support his policies, despite those exact papers being retracted by medical journals due to severe methodological flaws. He has no business to be making decisions regarding healthcare for anyone.

The chances of having NO measles deaths in the United States are very low. The USA is known for large, crowded cities and a healthcare system that requires insurance to afford treatment.

Today - yes.

However, measles was declared eliminated in the United States in 2000 but thanks to idiot antivaxxers and RFK Jr. it has returned again.

Quote:
The vast majority of people infected in the 21st century were not vaccinated and lived in close-knit communities where the immunization rate is lower than average. There is concern that the WHO may rescind the US's measles elimination status.

The incidence of measles in the United States has reached its highest level in three decades, with 2,371 cases documented in July 2026.

If we have a worldwide Ebola pandemic (which is starting to look more and more likely) then we're screwed. Average 50% death rate, no treatment and no vaccine right now.

I caught the measles back in high school, the week before I went in to hospital. The worst symptom that I copped was the fact that I could not keep a meal down. I lost 5kg inside 2 weeks. Measles was quite common.

Ebola is not going to escape the sub-Saharan regions of Africa. Even African doctors realise how much they need to quarantine the region to prevent a continent wide outbreak. Did you get your concern about Ebola going worldwide from watching "Outbreak"?

How many new arrivals in the USA weren't vaccinated for measles? It depends apparently on the visa class, of course undocumented arrivals don't need one.

Actually, the claim that vaccines do not cause autism is heavily supported by an overwhelming body of global, high-quality scientific evidence. Dozens of rigorous epidemiological studies involving millions of children over nearly three decades have consistently found no causal link between autism and vaccines, their schedules, or ingredients like thimerosal and aluminum.

Additionally, people (especially medical professionals who have to follow rules set by Health and Human Services) do listen to him because he holds an important position in the federal government - unfortunately. Some people have no choice but to listen to him and do what he says, lest they may lose their medical licence, for example.

No. No study can prove a negative. That is why the CDC is cautious. There is a difference between no proof found and "it does not cause autism". ::)

Trump Takes Break From Losing Wars To Help Spread Preventable Diseases

US President Donald Trump has taken a well-earned break from his ongoing efforts to lose wars in the Middle East, announcing a new campaign to help spread a range of preventable diseases among American children.

Trump signed an executive order this week that will implement un-called for changes to the childhood vaccination schedule, including reducing the number of routinely recommended vaccines and unnecessarily separating the MMR vaccine into three individual shots.

It comes after a strenuous five-month stint in which the President has worked tirelessly to weaken America’s military standing, waste billions of dollars and f@#k up everything in Iran.

In a statement, the White House said Trump was excited to switch focus. “Being humiliated by a minor military regime and losing control of a global trade route has been fun, but it’s time to turn our attention to losing control of public health,” the statement said.

Trump posted that what he was proposing had never been done before. “America used to have measles, and then we got rid of it. Very sad. Now we’re bringing it back. Nobody has done that before”.

The President said he was unphased by reports that viruses could cause mass casualties, pointing out that he could just do a deal with measles if required.

A microbial source tracking report published in 2022 by the D.C. government said that ambient water monitoring for Rock Creek showed "chronic elevated levels" of E.coli. "Fecal coliform" bacteria stemming from sewage is also deposited into Rock Creek, the Potomac and other tributary waters from combined sewers during storms according to a 2002 report from the D.C. The US isn't a democracy, silly Billy. It's a failed, flawed democracy.

Just ask Panther. The US is supposedly a Constitutional Republic. There is no representative democracy. The electoral college decides who becomes prez.

And in 2021, your DL sent seven forged electoral certificates to be counted in the Senate. Strangely enough, they all nominated he, contrary to the will of the people who voted.

So no, Lee, the 47th prez does not support democracy, and as we've all seen, you support the 47th.

The jig's up. You don't support democracy at all, and that's okay.

Why don't you just agree with Mother and say what you truly are?

The seven forged electoral certificates, strangely enough, said you-know-who.

Your DL ordered them to be dumped on the VP's desk to be certified in the Senate.

The VP at the time, Mike Pence, looked them over, placed them to one side, and counted the legitimate electoral college votes for the legitimate 46th prez.

Outside the Capitol building, authorities had just put out a fire on the rotunda, were sending the last few rioters arrested off to jail in police buses and were picking up signs reading STOP THE STEAL and HANG MIKE PENCE.

The person who directed all this was indicted and arrested, obviously. After becoming prez, he ordered the DOJ to drop all charges.

You, a sycophantic fanboy, don't want to call yourself Alt Right, and that's okay.

We'd use the more traditional, but far more accurate, description of fascist, but that's just us.

So there's two labels, Lee.

Take your pick.

I didn't compile the democracy index, old boy.

Quote:
No longer the “Shining City Upon a Hill” as President Reagan proudly claimed in his parting note in 1989, the U.S. has been demoted from a “full democracy” to a “flawed democracy” – an indictment of the so-called uniqueness of the American project. The demotion occurred in 2016 with the election of Donald Trump. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) uses five categories for its annual report card on democracy. The U.S. performed poorly (see EIU Democracy Index) in two categories: Political Culture (6.25 out of 10), and Functioning of Government (6.43 out of 10).

If I did, I'd downgrade it even more.

Based on your DL's willingness to disobey court rulings, start endless wars and imposes taxes without Congressional approval, I'd place the US in the category of hybrid, one up from an authoritarian regime.

This, of course, is exactly the kind of political model you want.

Ah now democracy is merely a popularity contest. :o

:D :D

Is that how and why O'Bama was elected for 3 terms? Coz the US is  'a failed democracy'?

When your guys get in, it's splendid. Otherwise it's failed.

Happy now?

I do not think The Economist is reliable. It is a weekly version of The Granuiad.

If it said that about the Kenyan, you'd agree, you know that.

When your guys get in, it's splendid. Otherwise it's failed.

You do not think, no?

Yes, Master.

Not at all.

I do not clap along like you mongs.  All news outlets are partisan. If the Granuiad or the Economist criticise Obama or Labor or Labour or the rest, it's almost always a criticism of not going left enough.

The same on the other side - not right enough.  But you have sniffed enough trousers to know that anyway, geriatric Sydney Pusher.

We never called the US under the Kenyan a full democracy either, cadaver.

The US was a flawed democracy back when Obama was in power, praising our Aussie electoral commission, our funded elections and mandatory voting.

We, you see, are the real deal. You, on the other hand, are a naughty old Nazi.

It's just good to see Lee finally come out on your team.

At least we know where we all stand, ja?

Laughable, geriatric Sydney Push relict. Pathetic.

"We"?? "Real deal"??  "Our team"?

As you get more and more decrepit - you must be well past 85 - your world continues to shrink until it all reevolves around you - or as you dementedly calĺ it, 'we'.

Just so, arse-petal, we. Free full representation, and we could certainly make improvements too.

We're hardly a democracy in the true Athenian context, but who is?

You, on the other hand, despise everything we stand for. You want our semblance of democracy overturned. You want a fully authoritarian regime, Vlad-style, with no representation at all. We?

You.

Yes, but it's his cute way of calling Joe Biden a Jigaboo.

I have no 'your guy'.  The Uniparty has taken electoral turns to screw most Western countries, from North America through Europe to Australia, over the last few decades. There has been no discernible difference between the Republicans and Dems, Labour and Consetvatives, Labor and LNP.
