Title: Toothache remedies Post by Jasin on Aug 11th, 2026 at 2:17pm
Another week to go until Dentist punches out my tooth.
Been a month of pain and puree meals. Panadol pain pills 💊, Sensodine gentle brush of area constantly. Half my skull feels like its not really there beyond being a squishy bruise of pulsating pain. Then... I saw it. A spray can of Freeze Spray for external pain or burns. I sprayed that s##t into my gob and at first a broken tooth on icecream feeling then 30 secs later - PAIN GONE. Tasted like kerosene crap but hey it worked. So whenever the tooth pain wants to take over, I use the Freeze Spray and it works for hours. 🥶 |

Title: Re: Toothache remedies Post by Bobby. on Aug 11th, 2026 at 2:32pm I had a bad tooth a few times - they had to come out and the next day there was hardly any pain compared to when the each tooth was in. You know it's really bad when you can't sleep all night. |

Ibuprofen/Nurofen would be more effective. |

Tooth ache remedies:
1. Twice a year dental check-ups.... tsk, tsk ::) ::) 2. Picksters/floss. 3. brushing the gum line 4. Er.... that's it. |

Title: Re: Toothache remedies Post by greggerypeccary on Aug 11th, 2026 at 4:00pm 5. Rinsing With water is fine, but always rinse after flossing. My routine - twice daily - is: 1. Floss 2. Rinse with water 3. Brush 4. Rinse with water 5. Rinse with Colgate NeutraFluor 220 (just at night). Every time I go to my dentist for my 6 monthly check up, he says "Everything is fine. Just keep doing whatever it is you're doing". |

You're right Frank. I floss, pickster & brush. But I think maybe some parts of our systems age well, while others can't keep up. Last visit i said to my Dentist "I had over 100 fights in the Druitt before I even got to high school and yet you've taken 2 out." ...this might be the 3rd? :-/ |

A 3 day fast will usually do it. ....remedy Tooth ache. The cause of a tooth ache, is usually inflammation. Q. What is causing [the] inflammation ? Duh. |

Funny you say that Yadda.
I've been eating very little over the weeks and there has been a decline in the constant pain level at least. |

I would brush my teeth at least once a day. If I am going out somewhere, I definitely brush my teeth before leaving the house. When I am preparing to go to work, I usually use a baking soda mouthwash before I brush the teeth. I never have bad breath for quite a while afterwards.
When the university did a teeth check up and clean for discounted rates for the students, I took up the offer. In the days before the dental visit, I brushed 3 times a day for a week. The night before the dental visit, I just took a glass of water, a plastic bowl, my toothbrush and the toothpaste into the lounge and kept brushing my teeth, whilst I watched a movie. I don't think I could make my teeth any more clean than what I did that night. When I went in to get the dental check up, what I did notice about the students there were that they were all female, and absolutely stunning. |

Long ago in Leichardt (lived in Petersham and yes I went to the RSL there as it rivals Rooty Hill RSL). For $800, a small Chinese female Dentist had to straddle me on top, while on the chair to extract a stubborn Wisdom tooth. I kid you not! She put in some mighty pelvic thrusts and grunts to achieve her goal. :o
I was scarred for life. ;D |

Title: Re: Toothache remedies Post by Yadda on Aug 13th, 2026 at 9:00pm @Reply #10 hi jasin, A short fast [with water], if i ever get ill.....it does a power of good for me. And imo, it is especially good, for my own immune system. My experience. |

Interesting.
I've always thought to myself, if o get malignant Cancer. I would starve myself to near death to starve the Cancer to death as well if possible. Like stopping a Black Hole from feeding. A case of 'playing dead' to the Cancer. |

My pain recently RE: tooth.
I have this over head pan holder, I put something up earlier that wasn’t secured properly, 2 days ago me went to grab a pan and that unsecured object fell on my lhs lip! It was sharp and painful as it squashed my lip against my lhs tooth nearest my big 2 front teeth. Yes folks! At my age I still have all my own teeth! ;D I used an ice pack off and on most of day to stop a fat lip forming. Day after I felt a slice of tooth came loose at back of tooth. Next day (yesterday, half of the tooth came away! I suppose eating chocolate nuts didn’t help! So now I’ve got a gap and the extra pain will be Monday forking out to pay the dentist! ::) I now understand why boxers wear those white teeth protectors. |

Oh dear. Nasty. I watched Monater Fish famer Jeremy Wade film him super glueing his broke front tooth back on and its still holding 20 years later.
Just an idea Sophia. :) |

Well tooth extracted. No pain.
Makes me wonder how our primitive ancestors dealt with dental issues? :o |

I got my tooth fixed and it’s never cheap. $345
I asked not to have an injection to numb my gums/mouth. So only once I flinched :) |

No not me, maybe my younger brother did stuff like that. My son did too … string around tooth but it fell out on its own! Anyway, I went to this new dentist and she’s lovely and eager to be good, but I’m not happy with the build up of the tooth. It’s overlapping my eye tooth a bit. Looks like I’m going to have smile like Mona Lisa from now on ;D |

In my teens, I thought I was done with teeth falling out. But, one of the molars (or whatever they are called midway to the back of the mouth) got loose for a while. I had one night where I jiggled the tooth for a while until I just yanked it out, and binned it. Took about 5 minutes for the bleeding to subside. I think I was sick the next few days from the mucous coming from the void, that I likely inhaled and swallowed. But, I no longer had a problem with overcrowded teeth.
