Originally the zodiac was used as tool for tracking seasonal changes, weather patterns, and optimal times for planting, harvesting, and livestock breeding. It was pretty reliable for that purpose.

Yeah - but according to the focked lore, only the Aborigines had the good oil on all that... the moon is part of the Indigenous sky, you know  .... apparently nobody else on Earth noticed it ... some sweet little girlie 'astrophysicist' said so.... must be right..  you could apply the same reasoning to everything relating to tides, seasons, when to hunt roos etc... when to come down from the Snowies region to the coast for Winter... by George! .. they had it worked out!!

I'm still struck by the sheer majesty of a clear night sky... imagine all them old desert dwellers way back without city lights etc... the stars like dust...

Yes. It has nothing really to do with stars. More the seasonal time of year.
Maybe people born in the winter are colder that hot blooded summer people?

Ah, so!  I am Winter child - get cold feet easily - Air sign with supplementary Water signs.... North American Indian sign is Deer ... Chinee is Ox - loyal, hard-working etc but not to be stirred up.... when the buffalo fight, all others in the jungle take cover (Vietnamese saying)...
