Lets hope that somehow he does not get confirmed. Not going to hold my breath, though...

For times when American presidents almost always get their way see 'Recess Appointments'. FDR, highest of all presidents, made 382 of them.

How could he not get confirmed? Any senator who says otherwise gets his ass primaried out the door.
The GOP love this kind of executive privilege. All they have to tell their voters is DL said. The less they have to vote on anything, the better. They had a problem with Matt Gaetz for AG because he was a known child sex trafficker. Normally that's not an issue, but they had a freshly written Congressional report telling all. If they confirmed him, it all would have come out. Matt was such a perv, he'd sit in the house sharing kiddie pics on his phone. Matt sold himself as a bit of a playboy. He'd rock up on a Monday in his Lamborghini, complaining about his cocaine hangover and his latest sexually transmitted disease. Matt was a Bible-belt hero - your typical pastor's kid, a real white bread badass. He found his kids on Snapchat and flew them down to Florida, telling their parents he'd mentor them, help them with their homework. Hubba hubba, no? When the ethics report came out, DL got the DOJ to drop the indictments. Keep off Matt, he said. He swore in Pam instead. Pam was the one who shut down DL's state investigations when she was Florida AG. All those he-said-she-said Mar a Lago reports Palm Beach County refused to touch. As soon as she got snippy as US AG, DL fired her ass and put in his lawyer Todd. As Deputy, Todd ran the DOJ anyway. Lame-o Pam was just there for show. DL dictated her lines for the hearings, like washed-up loser lawyer (Jamie Raskin, former professor) and the greatest president in American history (DL). But just think, back in 2025, even DL thought putting his personal lawyer in as AG was a bridge too far - even after nominating Matt, child sex trafficker. Not anymore, eh? |
