President Sheinbaum isn't waiting for the footage. She says her government is moving past diplomatic notes and human rights complaints and preparing actual legal action against the United States, telling reporters there has been another incident involving a Mexican national in the United States for something as minor as lacking paperwork.
At least 15 Mexican citizens have met the same fate in ICE custody or during immigration enforcement operations since Trump took office. Diplomatic complaints haven't stopped a single one of them.
