Aaah huh!
Well let’s see….passport means you are travelling out of Australia. So overseas somewhere. The tablets indicate going by plane and its a long flight of at least 12-14 hours … maybe one leg of the journey? Perhaps another connecting flight? Now lemme think. It’s winter here in Oz, so I’m assuming somewhere it’s summer? My guesses will be in pics. AE80DEAF-602C-4DAF-A359-8BCDBCA168DD.jpeg (130 KB | 9

Thank you … I do have good taste :) These are water colour paints or prints from Etsy. Here is a link. https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1752603565/london-city-city-of-london-view-gift-oil I’ve painted but I used oils, acrylic and chalk/pastels. I had a thing for ballerinas at one stage. Some need finishing, maybe I can drag the easel out and finish them. If you want I can post some up in next day or so.… :) I have to go out tomorrow to do errands. Then I have to finish doing these bishop crown chillies. They bloomed very late this year for some reason. And ended up growing long rather than short bell shape. And they seem hotter than any other time! I had to have doors open and it’s winter time so there’s that. |

No way TW! It’ll be a killer heat! The heat is different in Europe to here. It’s hotter over there!
But anything over 35 deg anywhere takes the energy right out of me! In winter we can rug up and keep warm. In hot summers we need air con ;D Maybe Gordon is going somewhere “Asia” Another guess would be …..Singapore? I’ve been a-top of the Marina Bay sands. Singapore is a very nice and clean place. Are you spending the whole month in UK Gordy?
20 months ago we were in London. We booked a getaway trip for a couple nights with Rabbie’s, a small van/group. Saw Bath, Stonehenge, Oxley, Windsor Castle, and Cotswold. Fascinating places. Really loved it. Stonehenge really took my awe as once we get to the place, it’s like an instant cold weather change! Then a km away it’s hot and sunny. We were warned it would be cold at that spot. Like some weird weather portal. Why this was built so out of the way in middle of nowhere. |

No I didn’t because we followed a map around township the tour guide gave us, no one else but hubby and I did that and….we got lost. Thank goodness some guy walking his dog helped us out and got us back to where the Roman baths were. Lucky we had time to look at the Roman baths whew! I did think about trying to spot a unique wool shop. Same in Paris wanting to go to that 2 hat Michelin restaurant but no, we ended up not having any French food! A Malaysian restaurant instead! Where our motel was, too far from the attractions. But I did manage to try their patisserie and wow…..it was so good! I managed to score a uni text book for $2 from the local op shops ($100 in 2nd hand book depots) that are no frills and show exactly how to make patisserie…. So if I can replicate that patisserie I had in Paris, I will be in heaven! |

Did a train ride down to Cannes, what a dump. The beach is garbage, the walk of fame is filthy and it's full of greasy looking turds going to the casino.
Monte Carlo is polished but full of people with loads of money but no taste. Where were staying (for only one more night unfortunately) Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is very exclusive but billionaire locals walk around the hood in swimwear. In Cannes, they had a pile of scaffolding over Clint Eastwood |

This....
This is Trajan's Column, one of the best-preserved monuments from ancient Rome. A few highlights: Built: AD 113, making it about 1,913 years old. Commissioned by: Emperor Trajan. Purpose: It commemorates Trajan's victories in the Dacian Wars (in what is now Romania). Height: About 38 metres (125 feet) including its pedestal. The carvings: The spiral relief wrapping around the column is almost 200 metres long and contains over 2,500 human figures, telling the story of the campaigns almost like an ancient comic strip. Inside: A spiral staircase of 185 steps winds up through the centre of the column to a viewing platform at the top. The statue you see on top is Saint Peter. Originally, the column was crowned by a bronze statue of Emperor Trajan, but that disappeared in the Middle Ages. In 1587, Pope Sixtus V replaced it with the statue of Saint Peter that remains there today. 20260712_200606_copy_600x800_1.jpg (94 KB | 3

The highest temperature of 37.7°C is considered part of a heatwave -- where anything over 28°C is hot weather. |

In my defence, I live in a house that does not do well to keep heat in, no matter how many doors or windows I close. But the heat during summer is easily dispersed with the opening of windows. Why would that be a problem for people living in London? There are so many trees and stone buildings to absorb heat and shelter the people from the sun that hot weather should not be a problem. |

It happened to us. In China in 2018 my phone was unable to contact anyone. 2 days and I was spewing! I knew my kids were concerned. I tried to use the motel’s free wifi but nothing. At midnight I was so fed up I turned phone off and pulled out sim. When I put it all back again, I was able to contact kids! It reset! Effing nuisance! |
