Title: Trump gives Iran everything they want
Post by Armchair_Politician on Jun 17th, 2026 at 9:33am
There is no way whatsoever this deal can be spun by Trump as a win for the US. It is a colossal and humiliating failure for Trump and the US...

1. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, together with their allies in the current war, declare upon the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding an immediate and permanent end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and undertake that from now on they will not launch any hostile action against each other, and will refrain from the threat or use of force against each other. The final agreement will confirm the provisions of this Article and the remaining Articles.

2. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States undertake to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs.

3. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States undertake to negotiate and reach a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days, extendable by mutual consent.

4. Immediately upon the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, the United States Lift the naval blockade and prevent any interference or obstruction against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and restore traffic within a maximum of 30 days to its full capacity; the traffic of ships shall be proportional to the pre-war volume of traffic on the part of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States also undertakes to withdraw its forces from the surrounding areas within 30 days after the final agreement.

5. Upon signing this Memorandum of Understanding, the Islamic Republic of Iran will immediately take steps to ensure that the movement of merchant ships from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa is resumed within 30 days to the pre-war volume, taking into account the need for the removal of technical obstacles and the neutralization of mines by Iran.

6. The United States undertakes, together with its regional partners, to create a comprehensive plan agreed upon by both parties for the rehabilitation and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, While ensuring financing of at least $300 billion. The implementation mechanism of this plan, as part of the final agreement, will be formulated within 60 days.

7. The United States commits to ending, on a schedule to be agreed upon as part of the final agreement, all types of sanctions currently facing the Islamic Republic of Iran, including resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and all unilateral U.S. sanctions, both primary and secondary.

8. The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates that it will never produce nuclear weapons. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States have agreed that the fate of enriched material and the fate of all other mutually agreed nuclear-related issues, including Iran’s nuclear needs, will be adequately addressed in a final agreement; the final agreement will confirm the provisions of this Article.

9. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States agree that, pending a final agreement, they will maintain the status quo: Iran will maintain the status quo on its nuclear program, and the United States will not impose new sanctions on Iran or strengthen its forces in the region.

10. The United States undertakes that immediately after the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, and until the date of the lifting of sanctions, the United States Treasury Department will issue waivers for exports of Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products and their derivatives, and all related services, including banking, insurance, transportation, and the like.

11. The United States undertakes that, in light of the progress of negotiations towards a final agreement, frozen or restricted funds and assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be released and made fully available. These funds, whether held in the master account or transferred, will be used for any final beneficiary payment determined by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran and will be fully available for use. The United States undertakes to issue all necessary permits and licenses on this basis.

12. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States agree that an implementation mechanism will be established to oversee the successful implementation of and future commitment to the Final Agreement.

13. Following the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, and upon receipt of assurances regarding the commencement of implementation of Articles 4, 5, 10, and 11 of this Memorandum of Understanding, and the continued implementation of these steps, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States will enter into negotiations for a Final Agreement solely with respect to the remaining Articles.

14. The final agreement will be approved through a binding resolution of the UN Security Council.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Donald Trump, has given reporters his pitch for why the war against Iran should be considered a success.

“Here’s what we achieved. If this thing comes through Friday, we’ve opened up the straits, which will help the economy and the world,” Mr Graham said.

“The world will be in a permanent ceasefire, hopefully. And we’ll try to get a nuclear deal with Iran. And hopefully that will work out.

“If it doesn’t, then we still have achieved opening up the straits and stopping the fighting.”

Someone please tell Lindsey that the Strait was open before Trump started this war!!!

Just so, Tallo. DL's hooked them in a cunning 4 dimensional move: check-mate, leftards.

Yes, on the surface, it appears like he has started a war with the mullahs, surrendered just in time for his birthday, and destroyed the credibility of the US of A, but do you know?

You wait, when the leftards least expect it - pow! Right in the kisser.

I think it's a smart move.

You?

This must go down as one of the greatest foreign policy disasters in US history. Trump led the Iranian people to believe he would remove the Islamist dictatorship and restore the Shah. Instead after three months of war he has achieved nothing except disruption of the world economy and handing a propaganda victory to the Iranian regime.  ::)

I have been away for a couple of months and stayed away from news and social media for that time. It was very refreshing. However on return a week ago I see nothing changes.

Exactomundo, Leroy. DL gave them more pallets of cash, $300 bil, ongoing control over the Strait of Hormuz, the removal of trade sanctions and the withdrawal all US bases from the Middle East.

So generous, no? How do you think Abu will take the news?

Who right donger, greg says there is no deal and armchair says there is a deal.

Which one do you think is lying donger?.

Hard to say, Leroy. How do you think Abu will take the news?
Do you think this is news to Abu, did Abu not create this?.

I most certainly do, Leroy.

What do you think Abu will say when finds out you now support DL paying off the mullahs and fleeing the Middle East, leaving Israel, the Arabs and our energy supply at the mercy of the dastardly Shi'ites?

Maybe you just starting to think like him.

What do you think the response to the Ayatollah ordering the killing of 40,000 young people in Iran should be:

A) do nothing as the price of oil will go up.

B) organize a special meeting of the UN so they can write a letter to the Ayatollah telling him they are not very happy.

C) Another country come in and beat the crap out of the Ayatollah and his henchmen.

Or do you have another reason to sit by and do nothing like any good man would do.

Oh, I don't know. Leroy's just turned a 180 to cheer on the B52s carrying pallets of US dollars currently on their way to Tehran.

But sure, nothing else has changed. Bobby's still posting his muscleman memes, the old boy's playing Vinnie Barbarino and Aquascoot's still saying meh, he thinks it's a smart move.

if negotiations continue in this direction it is looking that way. unequivocal iranian strategic victory, with the biggest loser being israel. trump is obviously sick of his 'partners' and may no longer be interested in ceding to their recommendations anymore. i think he is handling this de-escalatory phase (thus far) pretty well to be fair.

I know, right? He just praised the mullahs over at the G7, saying they've been great to work with, he'd like to keep working with them more.

The way he's going, I'd say he'll be more than willing to let them get a nuke. He said exactly the same thing about Kim Jong Un, do you recall?

Title: Iran's hardliners unhappy
Post by tallowood on Jun 18th, 2026 at 3:14pm

Quote:
Iran's hardliners have erupted against the US-Iran MoU with death chants against chief negotiators Abbas Araghchi and M. Bagher Ghalibaf, but experts say the backlash is unlikely to derail a deal the ruling elite sees as essential to the regime's survival.

The public anger from some regime supporters has exposed real divisions within Iran’s political and media establishment. But those divisions appear to be less about whether to preserve the Islamic Republic than about how best to preserve it.

That is the assessment of several Iran experts who spoke to Iran International following the announcement of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding.

Hmm.

Trump signs deal to end Iran war with Strait to open & $300billion plan… but Tehran’s ‘finger is still on the trigger’

Quote:
The 14-point agreement also suggests that Iran is set to receive an “at least” $300billion (£223billion) reconstruction fund after months under the sword.

A clause says that the US and its regional partners will pledge the funds for the rehabilitation and “economic development” of Iran, according to Axios.

US officials have taken care to stress that the money will not come out of taxpayers’ pockets.

Iran’s mullahs will also have to reach certain benchmarks in order to release these funds.

Really? So - where is the money coming from?

Anyone? Oh, wait - Australia's second hand nuclear subs are going to cost us about 300 billion so perhaps Australia can just do a 'bank transfer' straight to Iran instead of the US? I'm sure Donald will like that.  ::)

And, what are these "certain benchmarks" and who determines what they are?

Yes, Marla, there is that.

DL says he'll get it off his friends. Steve, Jared and his buddies on the peace board.

I think the idea is the Saudis and Emiratis will chip in a few bil each to keep the mullahs happy. Jared, Eric and Don Jnr can then fight it out for the contracts.

MBS is a little miffed, as you'd expect. DL's excursion has wiped a good 20% off the Saudi economy. The Qataris are still dealing with the loss of a major gas plant - gone for good. Poof! Tourism in Dubai's a lost cause too, they'll just have to deal with it.

Now they'll have to pay for repairs to the mullahs' mansions as well.

A real "win-win", no?

Everyone Hates Donald.

Unless he has a mid to severe neurodegenerative diseases, due to his rapid ageing. Then all these massive ef ups are Vance's fault. Vance should have already taken the Presidency off Donald.

Looks like it only took about 14 years and $300 Billion to get back 70% of the Obama deal that Trump vandalised?

Why are the lefties upset that Trump gave everything the
Iranians wanted, it's exactly what they would have done.

Depleted ammunition stock, that American taxpayers also have to pull out of their pockets.

Someone claimed this is American's greatest loss since Vietnam. I suspect, biggest loss since America's Afghanistan defeat.

It's the biggest foreign policy blunder we've seen for several decades.

That's something pretty much everyone can agree on.

Trump has proven himself once again to be the world's worst deal maker.

Depends what you mean by a blunder, Greggery. DL always said he'd be the GREAT DISRUPTER.

The Real Americans don't care about a few depleted munitions. It was worth it to see the fireworks on Fox, no?

That girls' school went up like a Catherine Wheel. Yee-hah. Much more fun than watching the talking heads on MS Now drone on about the Epstein files.

Now he's fixed Iran, the big fella can keep Cuba up his sleeve for a rainy day. If I was Raoul, I'd be sending the Cuban spies in to hush up any embarassing new Epstein leaks. He won't be wanting any new stories hitting the press about Jeff and the big fella raping 13 year olds.

Catholic girls' schools in Havana will be exploding like Roman candles.

DEEP STATE !!!

Strange. What did you say DL would do back in Feb again?

Cheers.
