However, the Service Victoria website to claim the partial refund is crashing owing to demand.  ;D

Update:

It is now working - but only seems to allow submissions via the Services Victoria mobile app.

Are they refunding the efpos transaction fees as well?

A government that wants all my info and using the lure of 20% rego refund.
Do I really need to be in Services Victoria?
Do other Oz states have this too?

I have a work supplied transport so not up to date on costs.

Our fleet is all registered in qld ( where we travel 95% kilometres) and my manager has confided that it saves her $500 pa compared to being registered in nsw.

We do have a few jobs in the  Byron shire but she rotates our fleet in and out so that they are used 95% in qld.

All totally legitimate and with a fleet of 35 vehicles very good management.

If you live in Victoria and have a driver's licence then "they" already know everything about you already.

BTW ... That "genius" Victorian State government has privatised VicRoads which had a software outage for over a week!  ::)

Then if “they” already know everything, what’s with the lure of rego refund?
Is it to get bank details as well?
They can send me a cheque and I will deposit it myself in my bank account.
They want my email, phone number too.
I read in the small print they will know where we are at all times whether it’s phone or iPad etc
They said they can share our information with other departments.
Do I really need Services Victoria? What benefits? All for $160 approx refund. Sounds like free cheese in a mousetrap.
