Yep - you just need to look at really old people to see that we are a long way from achieving any large increase to life expectancy, in fact in a lot of areas it may well be going backwards. There is no way that this planet would survive much of an increase even if possible. When you see really old people what do you find, A body that is falling apart, all sorts of health issues, low ability to enjot life, Ability to be active etc. Typical ageing: Deterioration of muscle, bones, joints, mental capacity, heart function, skin, blood flow, body functions, ability to function socially, walking unaided, sight, hearing. Its about everything. Exactly what are they saying has been fixed ? What does the quality of life for someone living in a 250 year old body look like ? |

What does the quality of life for someone living in a 250 year old body look like ?
Lifespan Extension in Aged Mice More recent research has pushed the boundaries even further. A 2024 study demonstrated that systemically delivered adeno-associated viruses (AAVs) encoding an inducible OSK system dramatically extended lifespan in extremely old mice. When administered to 124-week-old mice, the treatment extended median remaining lifespan by 109% compared to controls. Beyond raw lifespan, researchers observed significant improvements in health metrics, including improved frailty scores and enhanced tissue regeneration capacity in the pancreas and skeletal muscle. Epigenetic Age Reversal in Human Cells Multiple studies have confirmed that partial reprogramming works in human cells as well. When human keratinocytes and fibroblasts were exposed to OSK expression, DNA methylation age—one of the most validated biomarkers of biological age—showed dramatic reversal. In one notable study, fibroblasts from a 65-year-old individual showed epigenetic age reversal after OSK expression, effectively making the cells' epigenetic profile younger. Some research has reported rejuvenation of approximately 30 years in transcriptomic age. https://drclarkstore.com/blogs/news/partial-epigenetic-reprogramming-using-yamanaka-factors-reversing-the-clock-on-cellular-aging Age related damage in all cells reversed. Curing disease. We are on a precipice. Imagine yourself in your early 20s body, knowing what you know now. How dangerous would you be ? It may seem be like a long shot, yet the more people keep themselves healthy so to extend their lifespan, the more chance they have of benefiting from these new technologies. |

Doesn’t matter to me as I’m immortal, various women, six priests, two Bishops and a Cardinal have told me that I am one of the most immortal persons that they had ever met.

Who would want to live forever? It is hard enough keeping up today.

"Almost"
LOL We don't have the technology to live forever. Not even close. Barring infant mortality and death by misadventure, we have actually made surprisingly little headway in life extension. Every single part of your body is designed to fail. To live forever, we would have to either replace our body with an entirely artificial one, or turn ourselves into a different species that invests far more energy in building a body that lasts. |

Yamanaka factors (Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, and c-Myc) repair and rejuvenate organs in living animals through partial cellular reprogramming, which resets epigenetic aging markers without erasing the cell's identity.
Mechanism: Brief, cyclic exposure to these factors reverses age-related epigenetic changes, restoring youthful gene expression profiles while maintaining the cell's original type (e.g., a heart cell remains a heart cell). Organ Repair Outcomes: Studies in mice have demonstrated that this process can regenerate damaged tissues, including restoring vision in retinal cells, improving memory by enhancing neuronal plasticity, increasing beta cell proliferation in the pancreas, and boosting satellite cell activity for skeletal muscle regeneration. Ageing is a disease. We now on the path of curing this and every other disease. |

That story was told about 5,000 years ago.

Aging is part of the evolutionary mechanism, it is a consequence of how natural selection works. |

Replicating cells cause them to be slightly unaligned. Replicating unaligned cells cause them to be further unaligned ... and so on.
This disease causes the symptoms we call ageing. We now know how to reset the cells to their original state, aligned. Aligned cells make the symptoms of the ageing disease disappear. Perpetual youthfulness and health returns. This is the time to keep yourself as healthy as possible, so to hold on until the physical benefits of this knowledge are available. |
