Title: Observations of King Charles' US Visit & Melania
Post by Armchair_Politician on May 3rd, 2026 at 8:05am
Maybe it's just me, but in my view it seemed like we saw Melania happy for the first time in years. She was actually smiling and it was a genuine smile. She seemed to be enjoying interacting with the King and Queen. Contrast that to when we saw her standing beside her creepy husband at the entrance to the State Dinner, and she looked miserable. Or at any other time when she is beside the orange felon and she never smiles. She never looks happy. But here, she looked positively giddy. I may be reading it wrong, but she looks miserable when she is in his presence. Not hard to see why. I actually feel a great deal of sympathy for her.

You spend a lot of time watching Trump and Melania, have you no friends and family.

You spend a lot of time sniffing around the arse of one of them, so... back at yer!

It was on the 6pm news a lot that week. You spend an awful lot of time sucking out Trumps’ ass.

I definitely agree - she looked genuinely happy, but is always miserable around the rapist (understandably).

I have zero sympathy for her though.
