Title: taxpayers pay to not produce clean energy

backward, retarded, corrupt, idiotic, self-damaging, a crime against humanity.

It's all america

Quote:
.........   The Trump administration announced two more payouts Monday for energy companies to walk away from U.S. offshore wind projects under development.

Bluepoint Wind and Golden State Wind have agreed to end their offshore wind leases in exchange for reimbursements totaling nearly $900 million. Both companies have decided not to pursue any new offshore wind projects in the United States, the Interior Department announced Monday.

Bluepoint Wind is an offshore wind project in the early stages of development off the coasts of New Jersey and New York, while Golden State Wind is a floating offshore wind project proposed off California’s central coast.

Interior said it’s following the model of its recent deal with the French energy company TotalEnergies, which is getting a $1 billion payout to walk away from projects off the coasts of North Carolina and New York. TotalEnergies agreed in March to what’s essentially a refund of its leases, and will invest the money in fossil fuel projects instead.       ........

Right. So he's paying renewable energy companies not to make renewable energy.

Makes sense to me. If your aim is to maximize your CO2 emissions, trigger the leftards and annoy all those Republican Congresspeople who begged Sleepy Joe to invest in their states, I think it's a smart move.

He's paying the famers subsidies not to produce crops. He's paying back the importers back for his tariffs. He's paying the weapons manufacturers to blow up Iran. And by the time his term's up, he'll have added another four tril to a deficit he blew out last time he was in power.

I don't know about you, Sprint, but we'll win so much we'll grow tired of winning, no?

What the hell do you think constraint payments are?

"When there are physical constraints on the network (ie the network cannot physically transfer the power from one region to another), we ask generators to reduce their output to maintain system stability and manage the flows on the network.

Generators are then compensated via a constraint payment."

Paying money to renewables to not provide power. When the renewables system have negative pricing - contstraint payment so that they can make a profit. ::)

I thought Lee would like this one, Sprint. He's a real spendthrift when it comes to windmills.

Solar panels, wind farms, what a waste. It makes much more sense to just pay to shut them down and hook up a diesel generator instead.

A real "win-win", no?

Once again poor karny shows his ineptitude. He doesn't even know BOEM has licensed takes for marine species. ::)
