but america will kill its own children for money

Children are on the front lines of America’s air pollution problem, according to the American Lung Association's newest State of the Air report.

At first glance, the headline is hard to ignore: Almost half of all kids in the U.S. (46%) live in areas with failing air quality grades, and more than 7 million are currently exposed to unhealthy levels across all major pollution measures.

So you think that air pollution is worse since the various Clean Air Acts, in the 1980's, even back to the 1850's? bizarre. ::)

While many still seek to immigrate to the US for economic opportunity, evidence suggests a shifting trend where high living costs, housing prices (consuming 30-40% of income), and social factors make it less attractive, with some reports even suggesting high levels of emigration.

Ah, Now 12 month statistics are used for health issues. got it. ::)

From Sprints refernce -

"Here’s where things get even more complex. Experts found that the gains made under policies like the Clean Air Act are now being challenged by a changing climate.

Extreme heat, drought and especially wildfires are fueling more high ozone days and spikes in particle pollution."

oh dear it is climate change again. Although their methodology seems dodgy.

Wildfires aren't climate, droughts are generally weather, being less than 30 years long. Extreme heat -  where? In the US? Research still shows that the 1930's were the highest for extreme heat. Is it dry heat or humid heat - interested people want to know.

Also, the studies are epidemiological studies, usually relying on PM2.5, which has been shown in other studies not proven to cause harm.

Probably worse seeing as everyone's immune systems have been trashed by repeated infections with this "mild respiratory virus" (which also damages the heart and other body organs but we're not supposed to know or talk about that anymore).

Hardly anyone getting vaccinated nowadays (thanks to nutjobs like RFK Jr. and his idiot army of antivaxxers) also doesn't help, of course.
