Minnesota charges ICE agent with felony assault

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty on Thursday announced criminal charges against an ICE agent for allegedly pointing his gun at two people in another car in a road rage incident during President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota. She said a nationwide arrest warrant had been issued for the agent, Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr., on two felony counts of second-degree assault.

They gotta find him first.

Trump has probably got him hidden away.

This is just the beginning though - more ICE agents will eventually face criminal charges.

You would expect 100's of them need to be prosecuted. Especially the few who murdered people.

Also there are tens of thousands of them who breached peoples constitutional rights and should also be prosecuted.

Indeed.

Pretty much every single one of the new Trump recruits has acted illegally since they were employed.

Many of them will get away with their crimes, but I'm confident some will eventually be convicted.

So what were these people doing in a road rage incident? The story carefully doesn't say.

The ICE agent was speeding along the (unsealed?) shoulder, and the victims were in front of him.

He was angry at them for being in his way.

"On 5 February, Morgan was driving illegally on the shoulder of a highway, appearing to attempt to bypass slower traffic".

In other words they were infringing on his constitutional rights to free and unimpeded travel.

A different take according to another report.

"According to the prosecutor's complaint, Gregory Morgan Jr., an ICE agent in Minneapolis, was ending his shift on Feb. 5 and was a driving back to the Whipple Federal Building when a person allegedly cut him off as Morgan was trying to pass them, and the agent then allegedly brandished a firearm at them. "

Of course there is that "allegedly". So many times alleged firearms have apparently turned out to be mobile phones. And of course no mention of speeding, or being forced onto the shoulder by the other driver.

Same take.

The other driver allegedly cut him off when he was trying to pass them illegally by speeding along the shoulder.

Moreover, the ICE agent has admitted to pulling out his gun.

Moriarty said that her office was able to file charges in the case because ICE cooperated with the investigation and the State Patrol interviewed Morgan after tracking his rental vehicle to the Whipple Federal Building.

“During the interview, Mr. Morgan admitted that he was driving the rented SUV and he and his partner were headed to the Whipple Building to end their shift,” Moriarty said. “Additionally he admitted that he drew his firearm after the victims’ vehicle had already rejoined the normal flow of traffic, corroborating details from interviews with the victim.”

The incident is on video.

Lee's onto you, Greggery. With any luck, he'll stumble upon an AI-generated excuse disseminated by the army of bots Lee allegedly follows on X.

A different take according to another report, no?

So the other driver allegedly cut him off, and of course I still see no report on him actually speeding, so that should be allegedly speeding. No?

So the other driver allegedly cut him off ...

That's correct.

Not something that ICE officers are allowed to shoot people for.

Oh well, he won't get a speeding ticket then.

It's illegal to pass traffic on the shoulder though.

Not that any of that is important.

He's charged with felony assault - not traffic violations.

Except if you are forced off to the shoulder by the other motorist.

Yes. I agree with that. So the rest of the report may or may not be "journalistic license".

He wasn't forced off to the shoulder.

He was purposely driving on the shoulder in order to pass traffic.

He has admitted to this fact.

None of this is important though, as he's charged with felony assault - not traffic violations.

The court case will decide if it's true.

Although, the video footage clearly shows it is.

By all means though, contact the county attorney and let them know it's all been a huge mistake.

I'm sure they'll drop the charges immediately.

Not the YouTube video - the traffic camera footage.

Read the charging document, lee.

Ah yes. Victim 1 was partially on the shoulder, illegally. The other vehicle was slowing down. So victim 1 was driving in two lanes illegally.

But I have no problem with the gun charge.

I don't, I'll leave that up to fair judge to consider all the evidence and make the appropriate decision on his punishment.

So If I am right you don't have a visual disability. Therefore you can tell us the time on that line that goes across the  screen, of when it occurs.

Of course that is hard to do with a printed copy of the charge.

That's a tough one, Lee. We distinctly recall seeing you sticking your legs in the air and begging your DL for more.

And yet, you say he's not your DL, so who is he?

You're so sick in the head you defend him regardless. He has broken so many laws, acted corruptly so many times and been responsible for literally thousands of deaths and yet you still defend this convicted criminal and twice impeached halfwit.
