Title: Australia's arms exports to Israel:
Post by Bobby. on Apr 14th, 2026 at 4:08pm

Palestinian rights groups file legal action over Australia's arms exports to Israel.

In short:

A group of Palestinian human rights organisations have launched legal action against the Defence Department over Australia's arms exports to Israel.

They are seeking documentation relating to weapons parts and components transferred during the war in Gaza.

What next?
The move has been welcomed by Australian civil society groups and the Greens, who have been calling for greater transparency.

A group of Palestinian human rights organisations is taking the government to the Federal Court seeking answers over Australia's weapons exports to Israel.

Represented by the Australian Centre for International Justice (ACIJ), the organisations have launched legal action against the defence minister, calling for the release of documentation relating to dozens of military export permits to Israel that remained active throughout the war in Gaza.

After a review, the Department of Defence last year acknowledged at least 30 permits for Australian companies to send "military use" items to Israel were cleared, and another 16 were still under "ongoing scrutiny".

But it has continuously refused to provide specific information about the nature of the exports.

So - were we complicit in the genocide of at least 70,000 people in Gaza -
most of them women and children? -
and destroying all their homes? - Gaza flattened and looking
like Hiroshima after WW2 - a leveled, smoking pile of rubble.

Israel doesn't use any Australian made weapons.

Can anyone tell us what in this list of IDF weapons is made in Australia?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Israel_Defense_Forces

Australia does use military weapons made in Israel i would estimate 90% of our Navy weapons are Israeli stuff like this.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon_Weapon_Station

The Helmet display system in our F35s was made by Elbit and Collins aerospace.
Israel makes the outer skins for our F35 wings.

Our FA18s used this which is made in Israel. We no longer use FA18s
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/AAQ-28_Litening

If any of our military technology has to go back to Israel for repairs or updates export permits are required.

We don't sell any weapons to Israel we buy weapons from Israel.

Dear Baron,
many blessings.

Analogy.

What if a military knife was made - to kill people -
the steel part in Israel but the wooden handle in Australia.
Would we be involved in making the killer knives if we only supplied the handles?

We make a door latch for the F35.
Our contract for this is with Lockheed Martin not Israel.
If Israel needs a new door latch they get it from Lockheed Martin.

The Greens wouldn't know poo from clay don't listen to their bullshit.

Name one thing in the list of IDF equipment i provided a link for that is made in Australia.

it's all top secret - classified -
that's what the court case wants to reveal.

Google AI:

The Israeli Air Force has used its F-35I "Adir" stealth fighters extensively in the Gaza Strip for combat operations. The aircraft are used for bombing campaigns, often configured in "beast mode" (carrying external missiles) and have been implicated in strikes across the territory.

Key details:

Operations: Israeli F-35s have been actively involved in bombing missions in Gaza since October 2023.

Capabilities: These jets have targeted heavily populated areas and have been used to carry out high-precision, deep-strike missions.

Global Usage: While used in Gaza, the F-35s have also been utilized to intercept threats from other regions, including Yemen and Iran.

Support & Controversy: The aircraft are supported by a global supply chain, with reports highlighting the use of critical parts manufactured in countries like Australia and the UK.

I provided list of equipment for IDF nothing in it made in Australia.

If there are any weapons used by Israel that are made in Australia name the weapon.

Military weapons should be classified i don't have a problem with that.

There are also dual use technologies that need export permits for things that have civilian and military uses.
The fact it need an export permit doesn't mean it is a military item when it can also be used for civilan use.

Now name one weapon made in Australia used by Israel!

We build key components and support packages for these F-35's. Without these components, the F-35 can't even take off so it is wrong to suggest that we play no part in their murderous genocidal campaigns :(

They don't need stealth for Gaza

F15 can carry up to 23,000 lbs of bombs F35 in stealth carries 5700 lbs of bombs

F15 range 4450Km F35 2200 Km

F15 $10K per hour cheaper to fly

F15 Airframe life 20,000 hours F35 airframe life 8000 hours.

Bottom line F15 does the job cheaper to run greater payload nearly double the range  airframe life more than double.

Israel has more F15s than F35s.

They did use F35 in 12 day war with Iran they had Russian SA300-Sa400 air defences which were useless against F35.

Have a look at Israel Air Force page the F15 is their workhorse.
Go back to start of war with Hamas terrorists you will see F15 being used not F35 in Gaza.

You should apologise to me for being ignorant!

According to Michael West, we make parts. According to Michael West, they are "likely" deployed in the US and Israeli Iran war.

What is the percentage for "likelihood"? Enough for a criminal investigation? 8-)

Apparently likely is between 50% and 75%.
