And every day there will be more deaths, as long as Iran want to keep fighting Israel will keep fighting. At this point in time Iran has the bigger incentive to put away the weapons. If it has come down to pride and or principle Iran need to reassess how much further they want to go. If Iran don't want to put down their weapons and seek peace then Israel is going to keep bombing them.

This is not a spur of the moment thing, it was spelt out by Israel after OCT 7 which they clearly stated that the people responsible will be eliminated, no questions asked. Even if America pull out Israel is going to finish the job. The strait of Houmez means nothing to Israel, its not going to change their position.

I listened to a democrat on a talk show and he said that every president wanted to bomb Iran's nuclear plants but were to afraid to because Iran would close the strait. They resisted because they didn't want to see the strait close.

Not at all. Prior to Israel's re-invasion of Lebanon, Hezbollah's support had tanked. The Lebanese government passed laws against Hezbollah, were arresting fighters, destroying military infrastructure and seizing weapons. The program was making progress.

When IDF troops, planes and drones were sent in on 2/03/2026, all goodwill evaporated. Israel is bombing entire apartment blocks, killing over 300 people in a strike. Drones are chasing innocent civilians around and the war has been brought to Beirut - a modern, cosmopolitan city where hardly anybody has connections with Hezbollah.

Israel is bombing and displacing Christian communities. Over 20% of the Lebanese population are now homeless, sleeping in cars and tents. Entire Beirut blocks have been destroyed - without warning - survivors trapped and dying under the rubble.

Popular opinion has shifted, as you'd expect. Ordinary Lebanese people are expressing support for Hezbollah again. Now they know. Israel has destroyed any vestige of support or goodwill they had in Lebanon. Israel are turning Beirut into Gaza. Any enemy of Israel has become a friend.

This is Israeli scorched-earth diplomacy at its finest. This is what Israel under Netanyahu has to offer the world - death and rubble. Not only is Israel destroying its relationship with its northern neighbour, it's destroying any goodwill it once had in the region. All those Abraham contracts and deals - supposedly peace through business - mean nothing now. Anti-Semitism is on the rise, thanks to the actions of the IDF.
