Marles plays down SAS report, says Australia will not put boots on the ground in Iran

Defence Minister Richard Marles has played down a News Corp report that 90 of Australia’s elite SAS soldiers were sent to the Middle East to offer help evacuating and protecting Australian diplomats in the region.

Marles said the federal government would not comment on the movements of Australia’s special forces troops, and added: “let me be absolutely clear – we are not having boots on the ground in Iran, and we’ve made that very clear from the outset of this conflict”.

Never mind the ME.

Australians elite  SAS are in the area and desperately looking for soft targets, again.

All that is missing from our elite forces  uniforms are a all black  uniform  with sleeve cuff titles and "sleeve diamond" patches, to indicate membership in specific branches of the SS.

I edited my post so our elite military forces can style themselves in both uniform and actual actions they participate in.

Dude. You need to research a lot more in regards to American 'Leftism' military bias against Australian military and SAS before you start shouting your mouth off.
We don't need your Media narrative of Apocalypse Now threats against Australian Military who refuse, reject and tell the CIA to get stuffed during the Vietnam War.

The very fabric of the Union Jack on our flag makes (pre-Trump era) the USA scared that they were the 'criminals' all along and not us (aka Colony of Convicts). You need to understand the 'American Media propaganda ' undermining our Military to make us out as evil Confederates, etc.

Trump is completely mad and becoming increasingly unhinged ( perhaps the Epstein leaks are mentally effecting him?)

Given my very rough guess between the  military equipment, ships of coal given to the Ukrainian forces as was the “ aid” money given by Penny Wong to terrorists Hamas as well as the current deployment to the Middle East the Australian defence force  has in place to defend Australia 1/3 rd of our normal forces.

Basically if we were suddenly attacked and the weather was good for us we “ might “ be able to retreat to Tasmania and hopefully hold out for rescue too New Zealand if everything went perfectly too plan.

That is the level of self reliance we as a sovereign country have.

Given our wealth and lack of infrastructure I have to ask our politicians- “ where has all the money gone?”
