Title: Freeze dried food. Post by Sophia on Mar 20th, 2026 at 11:01pm
I saw some small packets of raspberries and coconut that were freeze dried on special at supermarket (still pricey at half price) and the berries/coconut was light crispy and very flavoursome.
It’s totally different to dehydrated food. I’m really smitten by the freeze dried food. Reading up about it, retains over 90% nutrients and lasts 25-30 years, whereas dehydrated food retains 70% nutrients and lasts 3-5 years. So I ordered a freeze dryer for around $600 for one that’s not going to take you too much bench space in the laundry. Can’t wait to use it and put up pics. Hope I’m not going to be disappointed. Wait and see. Nothing ventured nothing gained. |

Such a con!
Advertised with a price, about $600 and I paid. Then I get a sneaky message it’s just a deposit with their small print guidelines which didn’t stand out much at all. Then they want to discuss in WhatsApp price and type machine I want (I believe it could be more like $6,000) They said I can cancel order and get a refund. I complained to Ali express about it. I sent messages to them of wanting to take me away from the official site into WhatsApp so I’m not covered by any scam. Ali says I will get my order for $600 but I don’t see it can happen. I will find out what next. I’m so annoyed, I actually told the freeze machine company their advertising is deceitful. Looks like I will just use my cheap food dehydrater instead |

You were scammed by criminals. That's why I only use PayPal. The last time I was scammed I got all my money back - $450 for a watch that never existed from catch.com |

That's where I ended years ago when saving excess harvest. I still like to do sun/air drying but it is slow. |

Oh that's terrible Sophia. I hate hearing stuff like this that happens to people. We get it here in Ozpol. Take Pecca for example. You gotta watch out for his fine print written in invisible wax, with other words over it. |
