Australian Greens slam Albanese’s decision to send troops, missiles to UAE


Australian Greens leader Larissa Waters has condemned Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s decision to send military support to the UAE, saying “we should be urging peace, not sending missiles”.

“Australians do not want to get dragged into Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war on Iran,” the senator said in a statement.

“Labor shouldn’t be sending troops to help a military that’s killed 150 schoolchildren in a primary school bombing,” she said. “That will only escalate an illegal conflict that’s already spiralling out of control, and leave Australia trapped in yet another forever war.”

The Australian Greens has claimed that nearly 100 Australian troops would be sent alongside the military equipment and Walters questioned why missiles were needed to keep Australian civilians in the UAE safe.

As we reported earlier, Albanese said Australia will deploy a military surveillance aircraft to the Middle East following a request from the UAE as well as medium-range air-to-air missiles.

Albo is sending them because Trump rung him last night at 2am and he took the call and was told exactly what he would do the next day.

Thus those from the Iran soccer team who wanted to stay here have and the request from the gulf states  for Australia to become involved in gulf war 3 was approved by Albo immediately.

I think it was a good thing.

It’s saved taxpayers money from employing  endless focus groups to help Albo make the best decisions to make him look in the best possible light.

Greens don't want war with Iran. We get it. But what do they think about Iran developing nuclear weapons and dropping them on Israel? Or funding terrorist organisations around the world? Are they just pretending that problem doesn't exist? Policy that does not face up to reality is not policy at all, just empty-headed slogans.

Nuclear weapons are for protection.
Israel's aim is to take the middle east, without opposition and kill the current population, as they have/are doing with Palestinians.
Denying balancing Israel's nukes with Iran's nukes, keeps Israel's advantage.

America handed Israel nukes, rather than Israel figuring out how to build them.

It's hypocritical for those that have nukes, and those that live under nuke umbrellas, to say other nations can't have the same defensive position.

Terrorism is an over used word making it meaningless. People defending against an oppressor are not terrorists, they are freedom fighters.

but did Israel or the US go to the UN and get a resolution against Iran for military action? -
was it approved by the US Congress?
was it joined by a coalition of the willing -
you know like in 1991 when 42 countries joined against Saddam? -

or are we in a lawless world where strong powers start wars whenever they feel like it? -

that's what Russia did in Ukraine and now the US and Israel have followed suit in Iran.
It might even give China ideas?
Is that the kind of world you want to live in?
