Post by tallowood on Mar 1st, 2026 at 1:36pm
Winners are not judged, they are judges.
The only way to challenge that is to start another war.

Anyway, the epic fury is not finished yet, missiles and drones are still coming from Iran, Iranian forces continue to strike various targets in the Gulf monarchies.

The son of the former Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, supported the bombing of Iran and called it a "humanitarian intervention."

"This is a humanitarian intervention, its target is the Islamic Republic, its repressive apparatus, and its system of murder—not the country or the great Iranian people," Pahlavi declared.

Reza Pahlavi declares that the death of Ali Khamenei marks the de facto end of the Islamic Republic, calling him a "bloody tyrant" responsible for thousands of deaths.

He says any attempt to appoint a successor will fail and be illegitimate.
He calls on the military and security forces to abandon the crumbling regime and join the people in a peaceful transition to a free Iran.

Pahlavi calls on Iranians to remain vigilant and prepare for mass street protests, declaring that the moment for decisive action is near and that victory and freedom are within reach.

All the protestors in and out of Iran are chanting Javid Shah ( long live the King)

He doesn't want to rule he wants to lead a transition into secular democracy.

Those who question this haven't been following what is happening on the ground in Iran

UK Defence Secretary Healey 'This is a really serious and deteriorating situation, and that requires us to act.'

The British Empire will not accept such restless behaviour by natives and the Fleet will deliver a jolly stiff dose of gunpowder. Eighteen battle ships and seventy four gunboats will make this quite clear to the rebels.

Obvious outcome is that they back and forth for months or years tens of thousands of people die and then it goes back to how it was 3 days ago.

Don't see any gains or advantages. Just pure stupid in action but what do you expect when you put Net N Yahoo (the war criminal) in combinition with the President of an ideocracy.

So you believe sunken ships can't float under water? That they remain exactly in the place they leave the surface?

"In summary, while sunken ships may appear to be submerged, they can float under certain conditions due to the principles of buoyancy and design features that help them maintain their ability to float."

Iran's expert council has chosen Mojtaba Khamenei, the 56-year-old son of the late Ali Khamenei, as the new Supreme Leader.

The Iranian opposition-affiliated Iran International television channel claims that Mojtaba Khamenei is a creature of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the most radical element of the Iranian elite that effectively controls the country.
The IRGC traditionally opposes any compromise with the United States, advocating "war to the bitter end."

The election of a new Supreme Leader has not yet been officially announced.

In recent days, the Israeli Defense Ministry has noted a significant decrease in rocket launches from Iran toward Israel. According to security sources, this decrease is due, among other things, to serious damage to the rocket launchers as a result of attacks carried out by Israel and the United States, military correspondent Itai Blumenthal reported today.

According to data released this evening, there has been a downward trend in the number of rocket launches toward Israel in recent days. About 90 rockets were launched on February 28, about 65 on March 1, about 25 on March 2, and only about 20 on March 3.

NEW YORK CITY — In the wake of U.S. attacks on Iran, Mayor Zohran Mamdani has vowed to launch retaliatory strikes on Bernie's Kosher Delicatessen.

Mamdani stated that after receiving a super-confidential briefing on the situation in Iran, he made the bold decision to direct a forceful response against the deli on 54th Street.

"Bernie will pay for this," said Mamdani. "There won't be a kosher pickle left when I am done with it. Bernie and his kosher deli must answer for the evil actions of the U.S. military against Iran. Prepare to reap the fury, Bernie!"

According to sources, Bernie's Kosher Delicatessen has been in business for 47 years, with a reputation for excellent reuben sandwiches. "Bernie's is awesome. Great pastrami," said local resident Donald McGrath. "I hope they have a miniature Iron Dome or something. It would be a shame to lose the place over a war in Iran."

At publishing time, Mamdani had expanded the assault lines to include all of the regional banks.

Does that look consistent to anyone?

Interesting Pentagon press conference today.

It seems that the US is about to up the pressure on Iran as the capabilities of the Iranian forces are diminished.

The US reckon they have hit around 2,000 targets so far. More is coming.

Going from as they call them : "stand-off" weapons to "stand-in" weapons. As the number of offensive weapons from Iran lessen and their defence grows weaker, the US is now about to fire off more close in weapons with more (as they claim) accurate and damaging results.

It is only 100 odd hours in so far and it looks like Iran is running out of stuff to fire.

Maybe, just maybe, the Yanks can pull this off.   :-/
