Here to post all things for Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Or does no one care?

My friend in Milano says that the town does yet feel like an Olympic host city. Not much of.a buzz around town right now.

Where are the swastikas on the US official Ralph Lauren uniforms?

;D

As U.S. Olympians walked into the stadium in matching Ralph Lauren ensembles during the Parade of Nations, choruses of cheers rang out across the crowd of spectators, until U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, were shown on the stadium's Jumbotron. At the sight of Vance waving miniature American flags from the San Siro grandstand, the crowd booed loudly.

I do  :)
I actually started a thread in chat about it two days ago and that’s what I thought… Yep, no one cares, other than you and I APGA it seems.

It’s fantastic. Loved Andrea Bocelli …his voice is sublime, gave us goosebumps.

Valentino (the Aussie snowboarder) … I’m a big fan already!

Watching the women’s ski tonight where one lost her ski mid air and I wonder why? Was it not buckled properly, did someone sabotage … it’s just weird that’s all.

I get so nervous for these athletes and I’ve noted China is not doing well in many instances. Even yesterdays’ ice skating/dancing…. And todays’ women’s downhill skiing …. I could be wrong but will keep an eye on China and how they go.

Did you know teams from Russia and Belarus are banned from the 2026 Winter Olympics?

Over to you now  :)

Watching the women’s downhill skiing, Lindsay Vonn from USA had a bad crash. The skis didn’t come off and it’s not looking good. Track closure and then air lifted by helicopter.
I read she had a ruptured ACL couple weeks ago!
And goes to show desperation to compete before having to wait another 4 years.
I hate to think what’s ruptured now.
Will find out in due course.
I hope it’s not as bad as it looked.

The Italian outfits looked stupid.

If Vance got booed in Milan, just imagine the reception that President Trump or President Vance, as the case may be, will receive when opening the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

You're not the gay dyslexic that can't wait for February 14th because he thinks it's Vaseline Day?

Just asking for a friend.

Two letters in today's The West Australian.

It has always been my understanding that you went to the Olympics to win medals, not to engage in indoor bedroom sports.

;D

Mind you, I really shouldn't laugh because this is just another example of the sick, depraved society we live in these days.

Despicable stuff.

Vance booed at a Lefty sporting event?
Well that's like booing Leftism as a whole in Politics now, isn't it.
Trump did get cheered at last year's Superbowl, while Swift got booted.
Always rare for any Politician to get a cheer at a Lefty sporting event.
So Vance's booes are nothing out of the ordinary.

That hockey semi-final between Canada and Finland was an absolute banger.

The closing ceremony was cheaply done, but stylish.
Well done Italy.

Australia's team leader has said that because they have done better than before - more funding should come their way from taxpayers.

I find this a bit rich considering a lot of rich professional athletes and Sports establishments are included in Olympics these days. Shouldn't SPORT itself fund Athletes❓ Why taxpayers   :(
