The Olympic Games no other country wants. Billions for a two week long sporting event very few care about.

Hot on the heels of the complete failure of the commonwealth games.

I'm still slightly amused that despite thousands of noise complaints from Brisbane residents after Brisbane Airport's new runway opened in 2020 (and those complaints being largely ignored) they've decided to move the site of the Olympic Village because it would have been badly affected by plane noise.

That is a brilliant idea but my understanding that Greece ( like most Europe countries) are so overwhelmed with tourists )that it’s the last thing they want?

It’s billions of dollars for a two week athletic carnival that nobody is particularly interested in.

Cant the  QLD LNP and Albos  federal government spend our money fairly and efficiently for the benefit of all Australians rather than this crazy government policy of funding sports over health care or defence or any other essential services?

...and yet, no legalization of weed. Kangaroo Land, it is the 21st Century.
