The strongest continuous magnetic field in the US, and currently in the world, is a 45-tesla hybrid magnet located at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (MagLab) in Tallahassee, Florida. "The magnet produces a whopping 100 tesla," MagLab explains of the magnet. China has achieved a 35.6 tesla all-superconducting magnet in an experiment facility, setting a new record, the Chinese Academy says.
