Title: Used car prices Post by Sprintcyclist on Jan 10th, 2026 at 12:57am
They seem very expensive.
Hopefully it is a hangover from the new car shortage during Covid and prices will reduce a LOT in the next year or so. I was going to upgrade my car but one I like is over $20K. It does not represent good buying to me so I will wait |

You could always buy new. You can usually get them a fair bit cheaper than the advertised price.

Yes dear Sprint - I have the same problem looking for a used car -
they want a fortune even for 20 year old cars - many of them would need a new cam rubber drive belt which can easily cost $2K to replace - as they have to pull out so much stuff to get to it. I am considering buying new. |

I'm holding on to my diesel Territory with the enhanced suspension etc and excellent drving lights. Drive belts cost about $1500 every 150,000 k.
