I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

You have ICE agents operating with no visible identification, frequently in plain clothes, faces concealed, producing no warrants, yet issuing orders as though mere assertion substitutes for lawful authority. That is not policing, it's intimidation theatre.

A state that normalises masked men conducting warrantless seizures should not be shocked when citizens question whether those men are legitimate agents of law, or something far darker.  They're lucky that they're cowards and only targeting law abiding people, not those willing to 2nd Amendment them.

Now we have a US citizen dead for the act of observing, exercising a well-established constitutional right, and standing up for the legal protections of others. Instead of accountability, we're offered the usual smear, recast posthumously as a "domestic terrorist", because Trump Derangement Syndrome has become the all-purpose excuse for excusing state violence, and the MAGA faithful will dutifully nod along.

I hope this agent eventually has his day in court, once the Trump administration is removed and the rule of law is no longer treated as optional. Actions taken without legal authority are not heroic, they are criminal.

Until then, public scrutiny is not persecution. His actions were not warranted, and I hope he never again experiences a moment of peace and is always looking over his shoulder now that I've seen his name reported around the internet.

It looks like it was unjustified.  Hopefully, he will see the inside of a courtroom and not get a pardon from Trump.

If you are ordered to stop and you drive your car towards law enforcement even if you're only doing 2-3 mph they can legally shoot you.

This has been established in court driving towards law enforcement is considered using a deadly weapon so police are justified in shooting you.

It makes no difference if police can jump out of the way they are still allowed to shoot you.

What is even more disturbing is that ICE agents blocked a doctor from providing medical care, they stood around without doing anything themselves and then blocked the street so badly that Paramedics had to walk to the scene and then carry her in their arms back to the ambulance. It’s beyond horrible how ICE has behaved.

Sitrep from tonight. We didn't end up going out for dinner for various reasons, but when I was driving to the beach, one of the roads had a police operation going on and I got waved around by police.

What I decided to do was follow the directions of the police and not drive my car towards the officer (who I noticed was carrying a Glock) and the result was I wasn't shot in the face and was able to go home and cook steak for the kids.

She was told by ICE agents to move her car. She tried to comply, but her way was blocked, so she put her arm out the window and you can hear her telling them to go around.

They continue shouting orders at her to move her car, even after one of the ICE vehicles does go around her.

Then another ICE agent exits his vehicle, yelling conflicting orders, without identifying himself, screaming at her to "get out of the buggerking car".

So at this point she is being simultaneously ordered to "move your vehicle" and "get out of the buggerking car".

The ICE agent then aggressively approaches the car and tries to open the door.

At this moment they have no lawful right to do so.

This is a clear violation of the 4th and 5th Amendments of the Constitution.

She was not attempting to flee, there was no suspicion of a crime, and there was no destruction of evidence.

ICE wanted her to move her car. She told them to go around.

While this is happening, a third agent, the eventual shooter, positions himself in front of her vehicle while filming on his phone. DHS guidelines explicitly state that this should never be done.

Because the exit she was told to take was now blocked, she reversed the car to find a clear path out.

Before she even finishes reversing, the third agent begins drawing his weapon. At this point, she is not yet driving forward.

You can clearly see the front wheels turn away from the agents as she begins to drive off. They continue turning further right as the vehicle moves forward, away from them.

The shooter then continues trying to block her, again in direct violation of DHS policy.

As she drives away, when he is beside the vehicle, not in front of it, not in imminent danger, he fires a shot through the corner of the windscreen, at an angle that is only possible if he was no longer in the path of the car.

Then, as the vehicle continues moving, from the side of the car, he leans in through the driver's side window and fires two more shots.

Her now incapacitated body accelerates the car, which crashes into a pole and another parked vehicle.

As if that wasn't bad enough, ICE then violates policy yet again by failing to immediately render aid.

There was a doctor in the vicinity who identified himself as a physician and tried to help, but ICE refused to allow it.

Physician: "Can I go check her pulse? I'm a physician."
ICE agent: "No. Back up now."
Physician: "I'm a physician."
ICE agent: "I don't care."

ICE claimed they had their own medics.

None treated her.

Paramedics were prevented from getting close, forced to abandon their vehicle and run in on foot.

ICE agents stood there and watched her bleed out, rendering no first aid for over 15 minutes.

Her wife was in the car with her, forced to watch them try to kill her and then let her die on the side of the road.

You can see all of this in the footage. With your own eyes and ears.

And yet there are still people in this thread defending ICE, an agency that acted unlawfully, unconstitutionally, ignored its own training, and blatantly violated DHS protocol.

It is rare but possible to survive being shot in the head. Gabby Giffords, wife of Senator and former U.S. Navy Captain Mark Kelly and former member of the Arizona House of Representatives, was shot in the head and survived. It is reprehensible that ICE agents blocked a doctor from providing emergency care immediately after the shooting and their vehicles blocked an ambulance from reaching her, forcing them to carry the shot woman in their arms. The delay in this woman receiving medical care could have been responsible in her death.

36 seconds: agent beside the open drivers side window instructs the woman to "get out of the *** car". For the hard of hearing, they subtitle it for you, so there is no possibility you could get it wrong and think the police are telling her to move the car.

39 seconds: you can see the officer in front of the car draw his weapon. The newsreader even points this out to you: "an officer, at the front, draws his weapon, then...". That's when you hear the gun fire. They even freeze the video and highlight the officer at the front drawing his weapon. You can even see the gun, pointed out the driver from directly in front of the car, you can see the recoil and see the gunsmoke coming out of the gun. Unless you are blind and deaf, there is no way to misunderstand what is going on.

42 seconds: the officer in front of the car shoots the driver through the front windscreen. You can then see him moving to avoid being struck by the vehicle.

44 seconds: you can see that all 4 officers have clearly idenitifable POLICE written on their front and back.

Think sadroo believes one of the officers standing to the side of the car shot the woman because the officer that shot her is in front of the car and you can't see him until the car drives off. When she ignored the officer when he ordered her to get out of the car she starts to reverse and the other officer moves behind the car, the she put the car back to drive and accelerates towards the officer. She made so mistakes and being a observer you think she would have been trained and know how to behave around the officers so these sort of things don't happen.

2) number plates
3) other cops

Despite the clear instruction that clearly came from police and the clear threat from a gun directly in front of here, the woman accelerates toward the officer who is pointing a gun at her, and the officer fires his gun.

The officer only escapes being struck because he takes evasive action.

Despite the crystal clear video and audio of all this happening, along with subtitles, freeze frames etc, people still managed to get everything backwards.

Why do you insist on calling immigration authorities police? Their sole job is to lock up illegals. They have no power to move people on, control traffic or even arrest. It's totally illegal for them to cuff or detain lawful residents, tell them what to do or, you know, shoot them in the head.

20 seconds: you can see the police lights flashing.

36 seconds: agent beside the open drivers side window instructs the woman to "get out of the *** car". For the hard of hearing, they subtitle it for you, so there is no possibility you could get it wrong and think the police are telling her to move the car.

39 seconds: you can see the officer in front of the car draw his weapon. The newsreader even points this out to you: "an officer, at the front, draws his weapon, then...". That's when you hear the gun fire. They even freeze the video and highlight the officer at the front drawing his weapon. You can even see the gun, pointed out the driver from directly in front of the car, you can see the recoil and see the gunsmoke coming out of the gun. Unless you are blind and deaf, there is no way to misunderstand what is going on.

42 seconds: the officer in front of the car shoots the driver through the front windscreen. You can then see him moving to avoid being struck by the vehicle.

44 seconds: you can see that all 4 officers have clearly idenitifable POLICE written on their front and back.

The basic facts:

The woman had been stopped by the police. The driver's window was down so she could hear what she said.

The police are clearly identified.

The police clearly instruct her to get out of the car.

There is an officer directly in front of the car with a drawn weapon.

Despite the clear instruction that clearly came from police and the clear threat from a gun directly in front of here, the woman accelerates toward the officer who is pointing a gun at her, and the officer fires his gun.

The officer only escapes being struck because he takes evasive action.

Despite the crystal clear video and audio of all this happening, along with subtitles, freeze frames etc, people still managed to get everything backwards.

The ICE officer in MN violated both protocol and case law.
1) officers are not allowed to fire into a moving vehicle
2) lethal force is not allowed to prevent someone from fleeing
3) case law is clear, an officer cannot intentionally place himself in front of a vehicle and then allege self defense

If he'd been standing in front of the car, directly in its path, the bullet trajectory simply wouldn't have entered the windscreen where it did, if it had hit her.

That leaves two possibilities: he was off to the side when he fired through the windscreen as the footage shows, or the first shot missed entirely.

If it missed, the fatal shots had to come through the driver's window while he was beside the car.

There is no legal or moral justification for this homicide.

to avoid being run over.

He did not get a single shot off until the car was on him. His gun would have been over the car bonnet as he fired. If he had messed up in any way - eg slipping on the ice and falling on his arse like the other cop in the left of the frame, he may have under up under the wheel, by which time a bullet hole on the wheel would not have helped.
