That isn't scepticism. It's bad faith. Evidence only matters when it shields Trump or harms his enemies. Everything else is discarded on command, usually accompanied by a conveniently timed distraction, a Somali fraud case, a bout of military action, anything to redirect attention away from the cognitive dissonance.

There's no principle here, just loyalty. And loyalty, when it requires this level of selective blindness, stops being political and starts being pathological.

I honestly never thought I'd see MAGA shift from their QAnon days of every opponent being tied to child abuse, to then becoming the supporters of peadophiles arguing what is a child.

Virginia Giuffre said in legal filings and interviews that she worked at the Mar-a-Lago spa in Palm Beach in 2000 when she was 16/17 years old. She was employed as a spa attendant/locker-room attendant before being approached by Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein’s circle.

This is the poaching Trump was talking about here, as the reason why he and Epstein had their falling out.

This entire exchange has been projection from start to finish, with you accidentally sitting on your own balls halfway through.

The context here is Epstein.

"Underage" was referring to her being a child, not an adult.

Why a child was working in a massage spa at a private resort in the first place, even if she was labelled an "attendant" rather than a masseuse, is deeply unsettling. It is not normal.

Trump's own explanation for his falling out with Epstein was that Epstein poached this underage girl from Trump's operation at Mar-a-Lago. That is Trump's account, in his own words, I even posted the video so you don't have to read a transcript.

Now we are meant to believe a revised fairy tale where Trump was some kind of protector, heroically intervening to stop unwanted advances?

That is not credible, not with Trump's history of being the perpetrator of unwanted advances. They let you do it after all because he holds the vast power imbalance over them.

So which is it? Was Trump lying when he said the falling out between him and Epstein, a known child trafficker and rapist, was because Epstein poached an underage girl working in Trump's massage parlour at Mar-a-Lago?

Do we believe CNN, or do we believe Trump when he explained it himself?

In Florida, minors can work from 14 upwards under specific conditions. That has nothing to do with whether they are a child in every other legal sense.

"Underage" does not mean "illegal to employ".
