The GOP is a party full of monsters.

Evil monsters.

They actually enjoy making people suffer.

They should have allowed Dems supporters to have abortions, even encourage them.

OK so what about drugs, should the GOP allow women to use drugs as they please or would that be a way to control women, and their body.

Before you go on a rant I think abortion is a moral thing and I don't expect others to have the same morals that I do. Some think its a legal thing and approach it from that angle but I support majority rules in legal things mostly.

It is cruel and very sad.

When the woman’s water breaks before the fetus has developed lungs and cannot survive it still cannot be aborted but has to be carried. Partial miscarriage? The same. The fetus must be septic and turned the womb septic thus placing the woman’s life in danger before anything can be done. This in a country with 8 to 2 times the maternal death rate of Australia. Peanut states like Alabama had 40 maternal deaths per 100,000 births, Australia has 5.

But say the birth proceeds normally—what is the effect on the mother of that birth? Her health insurance, employment situation, educational chances etc?

In a decade or so—a huge cohort of unwanted children turning into juvenile delinquents. Pro life, what a sad joke.

When collecting data for Alabama:
Too many Alabama women die each year from complications related to pregnancy. These deaths occur during pregnancy and up to one year following a pregnancy/delivery.

When collecting data for Australia:
In Australia, where childbirth is safe for most women, maternal death is rare. In 2023, 27 women were reported to have died during pregnancy or within 42 days of the end of pregnancy.

Not arguing one way or another but the statistics don't match.

Leroy, imagine that your daughter (I have no idea if you have any children) is out at a party one night. Through no fault of her own, her drink is spiked and she ends up getting raped by an offender who fails to use a condom and she ends up pregnant. Lets assume you live in the U.S. state of Texas in which there is a blanket ban on abortion - no exceptions.

Your daughter is not legally permitted to abort the pregnancy and she must take the pregnancy to full term. Now imagine she is 15 years old - not 18 or 21 or 25. Do you still support this blanket ban on abortion? What if it was discovered during a regular pregnancy scan that the baby was diagnosed with trisomy 18, a genetic disorder that results in the unborn baby developing horrific physical defects that make it very unlikely it will survive to full term and that without an abortion, this unborn baby threatens the life of the pregnant girl - your daughter. Do you still support this blanket ban on abortion?

This isn't theoretical - it's happening in states across the United States right now.

It is not theoretical, true.

A TEN year old in Ohio got raped by a family member and became pregnant—how the hell can a 10yo carry a fetus to term? Yet the state laws said just that! Just that, a 10yo must carry a fetus to term!

She got smuggled across state boundaries to Idaho and the fetus safely aborted before harm came to the girl.

I may have gotten the states wrong but the incident actually happened!

The governor of Ohio stated the girl could have had an abortion in Ohio but that is not what his foul law stated!

There is no "GOP abortion ban".

The jurisdiction to make laws about abortion has been removed from une;lected SCOTUS judges and returned to where it belongs -the state legislatures.

It si the same in aother federated countries such as Australia. It was a judivcial anomaly for the SCOTUS to appropriate legislative power from the  states by inventing a constitutional basis for Roe v Wade. That constitutional basis does not exist so the power to make laws about abortion is with the electors in each state. They are free to elect representatives who will make laws to permit or prohibit abortion.
California was the home state of Republican presidents Nixon and Reagan. Now it's Kackela Country. LBJ was a Democrat prez from Texas, Dubya a Republican from Texas. O'Bama was a Kenyan from Indonesia. Trump was a Democrat before he was a Republican.

Where have I supported a blanket ban on abortion.

More to the point, where have you spoken against it.

I have not spoken for or against it,  pregnant women not only don't care what I think they have no interest in my personal opinion.

so why are you posting on a political forum? :D :D :D

To have my say, does that bother you?.

so you'll voice your opinion whether someone is interested in it or not?

This is a way to control woman, and their body.

Very sad.

Leroy, imagine that your daughter (I have no idea if you have any children) is out at a party one night. Through no fault of her own, her drink is spiked and she ends up getting raped by an offender who fails to use a condom and she ends up pregnant.
