Imagine what the Don can charge for a dinner in the White House. He's charging a $mil a plate for his parties back home. The catering's reportedly not the best, but they're not coming for the food, that's for sure.
Paul Walczak, big boss for a chain of nursing homes, skimmed $10.9 million off his employees' paychecks for Social Security, Medicare and federal income tax. Paul had been doing it for years. He used the cash to go shopping at Bergdorf Goodman, Cartier and Saks, as you do. He also bought a $2 mil yacht he'd had his eye on. Nice!
Prosecutors had Paul banged to rights, so he pleaded guilty and asked the judge to give him a break. While Paul was sitting around getting ready for jail, his mom was invited to a special candlelight dinner at Mar a Lago. The invitation noted it wasn't endorsed by a candidate or candidate's committee. The big fella's not asking for any funds or donations, the invite said, it was just an opportunity to spend an evening with the big guy on his night off from being prez. The price?
$1,000,000.
So Paul's mom attended, using the opportunity to put in a good word for Paul. So unfair, she said.
The big fella agreed. Three weeks later, he went to work with his autopen. The Don gave Paul a full pardon. With 18 days left to go, Paul got out of checking himself into jail. He also got to keep the yacht, the jewelry, the flash watches and the rest of the tax he stole. After paying Mom the $mil for the dinner, he's up three and a half mil on the deal.
Paul can now go back to work, looking after American seniors and their carers. No doubt they'll have a newly found sense of respect for their boss, eh?
With a much bigger venue in the demolished East Wing of the US White House, the big fella will be able to host 999 donors a time. Donnie can squeeze a few more in if he stretches the fire code, and who's going to check that? Once Congress comes back to sign the cheques, he'll be able to put the catering on the public dime too. The Don stands to pocket a minimum $999,000,000 for his candlelight dinners.
