Because if "having classified documents at home is fine and everyone does it", then Bolton walks, yeah?

But if "mishandling classified materials is treason and must be punished", then Trump goes down with him.

about what you were doing or seeing, without written approval
of the minister or person in charge.

It doesn't mean he can release those documents in any way -
via email or writing a book or telling everyone what was in them.

The big fella wasn't prosecuted out of revenge, Bobby. The FBI served a subpoena. When he refused to respond, they executed a search warrant. When they caught the big fella red handed, they hummed and ha-ed, not knowing what to do.
