Title: Former US Marine pilot extradition from Australia Post by MattE on Oct 16th, 2025 at 9:20pm
Not really a United States issue for the U.S. board.
He is still in Australia and is an Australian Citizen. Should Australia extradite him? Former US Marine pilot who trained Chinese flyers appeals extradition from Australia By Peter Hobson 16 October 2025 REUTERS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCS4UrKkopc Former U.S. Marine Corps pilot Daniel Duggan appealed in an Australian court on Thursday against extradition to the United States on charges of violating U.S. arms control laws in relation to China, with his lawyer arguing that his conduct was not an offence in Australia at the time. In December 2024, Australia's then attorney-general Mark Dreyfus approved a United States extradition request for Duggan, who faces U.S. charges including that he trained Chinese military pilots to land on aircraft carriers. DUGGAN'S LAWYER SAYS EXTRADITION IS 'UNCHARTERED TERRITORY' His lawyer Christopher Parkin told the court the extradition was "uncharted territory" for Australia, arguing that Duggan's conduct was not an offence in Australia at the time or when the U.S. requested extradition and so did not meet the requirement for dual criminality in Australia's extradition treaty with the United States. "It's a very heavy and emotional space to be in," Ms Duggan said. "He is composed, he is in the courtroom, and he is listening [but] his heart would be beating fast, as mine has been. "I just want to grab him and take him home. "I'm just holding on to hope and the love that we share, and waiting for a great outcome." The court has now reserved its decision. Support your True Allies, and your whistle blowers.
This whole thing is BS. Well .......................... they needed and need to be trained to land on US carriers so they can defect once their mates are all shot down and feeding the fishes....... what is unstated is that while he was 'training them' he was gathering data on how efficient they are ... he would have been debriefed (not his shorts removed, boys!! .. steady on) already, so the Yanks are just wanting to keep him quiet. Silver Bullets in the form of an adequate pensions would do that a lot cheaper. Has Trump 2.0 taught yez all nothing? SILVER BULLETS buy more wars than lead ones. |
