Oh, do please f off with your antivaxxer/antimasker BS.
And I'm saying that in the nicest possible way right now. It's morons like you who are responsible for the public health disaster currently engulfing Australia and the rest of the world. Thank you in advance. |

Hmm, it's times like this that I think I should have put my hand up to moderate this particular board a year or two back.

Yeah - everyone has already picked you as an authoritarian nut job who wanted to shut down free speech.
I’m not here to sip the Big Pharma Kool-Aid or parrot their “safe and effective” mantra. The real disaster is the blind trust in vaccines that’s got people ignoring the injuries piling up. VAERS and other global databases are screaming with adverse event reports—hundreds of thousands for COVID jabs alone, from myocarditis to blood clots. Look at the skyrocketing excess deaths in Australia since the mandates kicked in. Your “science” isn’t gospel; it’s a business, and it’s failing people who’ve been gaslit into thinking these shots are harmless. I’m not anti-mask or anti-everything—just pro-truth, and the truth is, vaccines aren’t the untouchable saviour you think and only a flatout dunce thinks masks work to keep viruses out. Science Says - Viruses are smaller than the holes in your stupid masks 😷 and you could drive a truck through the gaps around the sides. Duh 🙄 |

Ah, yes.
I was just waiting for you to trot out the good old "free speech" line. So predictable. Just remember - the right to free speech does not give you the right to shout "fire" in a crowded theater. |

So now you don’t believe the “Chief Health Officers”?

Oh, and by the way - if I were moderating this board I would not delete or edit posts for no reason.
For example, I would be asking for proof that masks don't work for stopping the inhalation of viruses. And by proof I don't mean social media posts or memes or that infamous picture of a box of "baggy blue" surgical masks with the disclaimer that they are not designed to stop viruses. Real proof that they don't work. Because there is plenty of real proof that proper, high grade masks like N95's, P2's, etc. DO work. |

What is truly strange is Carl loved the science from the chief health officers when it suited him and now has conspiracy theories around the science and the chief health officers when it doesn't suit him.
This is clearly a dishonest position |

Chief Health Officers are puppets who have their strings pulled by politicians.
A perfect example is your hero, John Gerrard a.k.a. "Dr. Death", former CHO of Queensland. Oh, and are you saying I've changed my position or opinion on something? That's absolutely hilarious coming from you. ;D |

No you haven't
Your opinions are calcified. Your opinions are set in stone. As new evidence comes in scientists like Dr Sutton , change their opinion to fit the new data. You do not. Because you loved a lockdown and didn't want it to end That's a sign of someone who is fearful of change and of new learning. Arrogant opinionated and wrong I'll stick with the science , thank you 😉 |

Please show me where I said that. Exact words, please. If you can't find it (and you won't) I do believe a white flag or apology would be in order. And I'm sure I have as much chance of receiving it as I did for the previous one you should have given me just last week. Zero. Déjà vu for me. Again. |

Anyway - to address the original topic.
It's all very well for Brett Sutton to say that now with the benefit of hindsight but at the time the lockdowns and other Covid protections were the best option but only because they were obviously hoping that SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) would 'fizzle out' in a short time much like the original SARS did 20 years ago. When that didn't happen, governments decided it was time to give up (under pressure from big business) and let the virus rip resulting in 28,000+ Australian deaths (and counting) and who knows how many Long Covid cases as a result. And, as I've said many times already - this is why governments won't even say the C word anymore. They know they f____d up big time and they don't want to admit it. Oh, and to avoid huge lawsuits, of course. |

Carl actually thinks chief health officers should take advice from grumpy old Perth pensioners ;D
Dr Gerard, winner of multiple awards for epidemiology and virology , pilloried as Dr Death by an old grumpy hypochondriac. Too funny |

“ Thousands of Australians fighting 'cruel' battle for COVID vaccine injury compensation”. Isn’t it interesting that only politicians and legal professionals were exempt from having to be immunised? I wonder why? |
