Title: Freedom of speech and the Kirk murder.
Post by Sir Eoin O Fada on Sep 14th, 2025 at 11:56am
The First Amendment protects freedom of speech but just as other Amendments are ignored for convenience it is being thrown out with the dishwater.
People who have expressed satisfaction over Charlie Kirk’s murder are being hunted on the internet, their identities and their details extracted and then published and/or sent to their employers, thus resulting in many losing their jobs.

I can’t bring up any direct links for some reason but Google  ‘’sackings over kirk murder opinions ‘’ and they will appear.

What a charade for democracy.

What is your grievance here, people don't have freedom of speech for their hatred of Kirk or the freedom of speech to call out those using hate speech against Kirk.

While you were posting I was doing a modification looking for a link that I could post, see above for clarification.

They exercised their freedom of speech and their employers exercised their freedom to fire a CeeUNextTuesday.

At least they weren't shot in the jugular by a far left indoctrinated tranny rooter.

Isn't opposing Charlie Kirk's views freedom of speech....Calling for harm of those with opposing views is not confined to any one ideology???

The lefties will sack you for calling a transvestite man a "he" - i.e. for not lying.

But now, suddenly, when they are celebrating murder, they are free speech absolutists. Their hypocrisy, like their stupidity, is breathtaking.

Opposing his views are fine. Celebrating his death is also freedom of speech and an employer has every right to fire someone for being a wankbag.

But it's okay for Trump to say he can go out on a street in New York City and shoot someone and not lose any votes but probably gain votes, right?

That is TDS having as effect on your thinking. you have a responsibility for your own speech regardless of what Trump thinks says or does.

They lose their jobs for their opinions celebrating a mans murder.

Charlie Kirks loses his life for his opinions

and you think that is a fair comparison in making a constitutional point on democracy?

I disagree, I think it's perfectly fine to rejoice someones death but consequences such as the resulting unemployment are also fine.

Freedom of speech and non-violent repercussions are perfectly compatible.

They weren't merely opposing his views - one of them killed him whilst many others have celebrated Kirks death.

Didn’t take long to degenerate into the usual name calling, as usual.
One thing that all are missing is that supposedly private [that is disguised] posts are being accessed and personal info being then shared with others.

Surely that’s wrong, if it spreads to Australia some of you may be looking for a job.

It is worth pointing out that under Trump, this clampdown on free speech was happening well before Charlie Kirk was murdered. One instance is when Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt went around the White House Correspondents' Association and excluded certain media organisations based purely on their coverage of Trump. Traditionally, the press pool has been rotational and organised independently by the White House Correspondents' Association to ensure fair, unbiased coverage of the President and to ensure access was rotated fairly and regularly. Not anymore. Now she decides who gets access to Trump and it's clear there's only one criteria: how flattering their reporting of Trump (and his cabinet) is.

Laugh at 'em all, laugh at 'em all,
The hypocrites, grifters and all,
They screeched 'cancel culture is killing free speech!'
Now they bay for the sack, practising what they preach?

Laugh at 'em all, laugh at 'em all,
Their principles thinner than Trump's wall,
When children were slaughtered, Kirk shrugged 'That's the cost,'
But now that he's shot, all their morals are lost.

They said gun deaths were freedom's fair fee,
A price Kirk himself claimed from others with glee,
Yet the moment it's theirs, they scream and they bawl,
Cancel the critics, sack 'em all!

And Grappler, the 'truth teller,' what a farce, what a fraud,
Spews bile and mistruths while pretending to laud,
A clown in denial, a puppet on call,
A liar, a hack, hypocrite all!

Never thought you had an ounce of artistic talent in you- just goes to show.. must've taken some work there .... one thing, though - be wary of your chosen point in the polarisation - and always remember that when they said the nation was becoming polarised - they weren't discussing bi-polar.  (see picture) ..

Anyone who is nasty and vicious about the senseless killing of another person and then seeks to make it a political platform at work is prey to their own stupidity... and it's about time some of these clowns realised there are consequences... same as the tranny boy wil find out when the death sentence is handed down... that is where the real theatre is going to be...

I find it ironic that the left are suddenly championing 'free speech' now they have discovered that their gloating over a murder has consequences. These are the same people who introduced the cancel culture to prevent the expression of ideas they did not approve of and were quick to use violence and intimidation to shut speakers down.  ::)

Well, the death penalty has been meted out for treason.

Kirk's point was that Biden's border policies amounted to treason and crimes against America.

Is enabling and facilitating a large scale foreign invasion treason? Is opening the city gates to invaders treason?
Is the death penalty a fitting punishment for treason?
