Apparently it is optional as to which side of the road you drive on in Australia. I have noticed this trending a couple of years back:

Quite a few accidents especially involving red light running which is turning into an epidemic. Only way to bring sanity back to our roads: lots more marked police cars.

Just finished watching that.

I swear Australia's drivers are getting worse as time goes on.

And now that my elderly aunt is in aged care I might be looking at getting rid of my car soon. I'll feel a whole lot safer even though I've had front and rear dashcams for the last 12 years.

Mind you, I did find the first one slightly amusing with the two police cars eventually hitting each other (that was on the Mitchell Freeway here in Perth heading north just out of the city).

Yeah, I know what you mean.

But rural location and a dog means a car is needed right now. “Town” is over 110Km away, doctor, dentist, chemist, IGA half an hour drive away.
