Trump is again mocking Canada, inserting himself into their political decisions, which he has no right to do. He's threatening a trade deal unless Canada bends to his will.

It is something that would be good for ordinary Palestinians, if they can get rid of Hamas. I agree that Israel is by and large causing starvation in Gaza. But I am also confident that Hamas is playing a role, stopping aid supplies reaching those people who clearly are in desperate need of it. Hamas is doing so in order to move world opinion against Israel and they're using their own people to do it. I saw an article the other day where a large group of nearby countries have urged Hamas to lay down their arms and give control to Palestinian authorities. I doubt very much Hamas will do so willingly.
