Title: State of the Sun Post by Jovial Monk on Jul 14th, 2025 at 5:19pm
Was logging these daily, then got another stupid, unfair, pointless ban. So I started compiling this in my fine forum.
Previous to the stupid ban that hurt OzPol much more than it did me Booby the high school dropout failing to Mod Environment told me I should move my The Sun thread to his cesspool of a board. I declined. If you want to know what the sun is up to: https://polanimal.au/index.php?threads/the-sun.8964/post-216506 If the high school dropout and cretin wants a thread on the sun I suggest he compile it himself, the moron! |

On Twitter there are STILL morons, like the idiot not modding the nominal environment board here, believing that the sun is in a “Grand Solar Minimum!” Really!
The current solar cycle, SC25, disappointed like 99% of idiots expecting a GSM. DuByne, realising Zharkova’s prediction of a GSM was bunkum switched to grifting on another predicted disaster, bringing along the prediction that farming will fail so buy my disaster food and Bit¢oin. However, there are STILL idiots believing in “the” GSM. They are reinforced in their over-optimistic belief that the sun is in a GSM by the “cataclysmic” drop in sunspot numbers. One real dunce said the sun was in SC26. Not so fast buddy, the maximum is starting to head to the minimum which will happen around 2029/30. So the sun is going through a normal cycle, one much stronger and more active than GSM believers expected, take 5-6 years before SC26 will happen. There is no reason to believe SC26 will be a GSM cycle. A more active sun will make global warming, already accelerated by releases of methane from thawing tundra, slightly worse. I say this because SC25 was as bright as SC23 (another disproof of a GSM now) so a bit more sunlight hits top of atmosphere. Any increase in AGW could be deadly, making already natural disasters even more deadly, as if 170 deaths in Texas is not deadly enough! |
