I remember long ago in my youth, the elderly talking saying how days seem longer as they age.
Well now I’m there, it’s not true (anymore). My days seem too short as I try to do so much and then my to do list spills over to next day  ::)

Maybe days were longer for past older folk… less hustle and bustle, no mobile phones, internet, only one tv shared with whole family in lounge.
Now… I feel like my brain is shorting out  ;D bzzz bzzz

Maybe less is more.

A year since the rapist was hit by a piece of shrapnel flying off the overhead speakers.

A year since MAGA cult members put maxi-pads on their ears and expected everyone to take them seriously.

My, how time flies.

Sounds like a saying from people who claim to feel old at just 40.
Probably the same people who think Victoria is Mexico and Queensland is Canada.

It's true that the days go faster overall - it's not unusual to wake up wondering what day it is - damn - is it Tuesday this week already?  In JULY?  It was New Years last week.

Retirement is when you find that you have the time to actually do the things you never realised you had to to do, and thus the workload of life actually grows... then come the doctors and the kids with their life pains as they enter the torture zones - the booby trap mine fields our kind of 'culture' builds for the many these days...

e.g. ... "Oooh - I don't feel 'validated' in our marriage any more!" **flings back of hand to forehead, adopts suffering look** "We need to divorce and wreck everything we've assembled over twenty years of slavery in our useless life together, so that some investment vulture from some backward Third World grasping social group can grab hold of our home and rent it out and then hold all the advantages so Albo's dream of Australia becoming Wogland will prevail, and the Australian people will first be controlled by poverty and then soon will be no more...", she says... "And I don't care if we both end up in Tent City as long as I can put you there for being the bastard I married, etc..."

On July 13, 2024, Thomas Matthew Crooks fired eight shots from an AR15-style rifle
at Trump while speaking at a rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump was shot and wounded in his upper right ear
before dropping to the ground and being shielded by the Secret Service.

Trump fist pumped the air in defiance!
Other Presidents would have dropped to the ground like a soccer player looking for a red card.
