"Speaking to reporters in Shanghai on Sunday, the Prime Minister struck a cautious tone as Chinese officials watched from the sidelines.

“Our aim of investing in our capability, and as well investing in our relationships, is about advancing peace and security in our region,” he said.

Mr Albanese said he had no plans of changing Australia’s “consistent position” on Taiwan’s future.

“We support the status quo when it comes to Taiwan,” he said.

“We don’t support any unilateral action there. We have a clear position, and we have been consistent about that.”

China just wanted to save Taiwan from the Democratic invasion of homo and trans sexuality. Blue Democrat Yankees like little Asian boys and girls.

Since when have the voting public had a vote on whether the country goes to war?

We cannot take on China alone. Only with US or some other support. Not sure what the US expects of us here.

I don't think Biden would even know about Australia.

And the irony is that Trump hasn't taken a hostile aggressive action regarding Taiwan like the Democrats did. I shouldn't really say Biden, as he had noo idea about anything really, except a life of lying which resulted in him wanting to forget.

When you say 'merely', Trump's demanding an Australian prime minister jeopardise Australia's relationship with its most important trading partner to put pressure on China over US trade supremacy, while at the same time imposing tariffs on Australian goods.

Australia's trade with China is tenfold that of Australia's trade with the US.

I have read plenty of reports that old Airbus Albo dodged the question but really he did answer it to my satisfaction.

Can anyone else imagine the pressure to answer such a question in such a situation?
