NT elders fear Aboriginal languages are being lost, as communities band together to help save them :o

They should write them down.

What exactly do these people want? It is not practical to speak these languages - dialects with only a very small number of speakers originally - at work and of extremely limited value speaking them at school. If the younger people don't want to speak them then they will disappear as part of the natural selection process.
