They should write them down.

What exactly do these people want? It is not practical to speak these languages - dialects with only a very small number of speakers originally - at work and of extremely limited value speaking them at school. If the younger people don't want to speak them then they will disappear as part of the natural selection process.

We have a new Commonwealth poet laureate.

Step forward, Selina Tusitala Marsh, a leading New Zealand poet and professor at the University of Auckland. Here's one of her poems:

Why - that's brilliant - goes straight to the heart of a young Maori woman rising through the levels of society to find her true place in the sun by triumphing over racism, misogyny, negative peer pressure with clubs, and the inbuilt sense of lack of entitlement to rise that plays such a part in keeping her group down ......

Whenever anyone discusses the evil committed by Aborigines and the tyranny by governments in imposing this horror on us and shoving this garbage down our throats - all Brian can say is this.

It is demeaning and he is saying our words and concerns are worthless and we are worthless for expressing these concerns and discussing this topic.

He is saying "You are worthless so is your opinion".

He is expressing his superiority and your insignificance and lack of worth - WOFTAM.

Them Elders be in the right fearing Aboriginals.... maybe that's why they don't lead and don't even speak sense when they speak up... too scared of the Big Barbary Apes - the Silverbacks with the biggest fists etc...

Speak up an' they gits the spear or the rock or the club like the women do ... or even one of them Wharte Man's cross-bows in Wadeye ... Heart Of the Homeland...

Brian is butt hurt and believes that we should share in his guilt cleansing.

GOD

The terms "grandiose," "omnipotent," and "devaluing" are often associated with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Grandiosity refers to an inflated sense of self-importance and superiority, while omnipotence implies a belief in one's unlimited power and influence. Devaluing involves the tendency to see others as inferior or worthless, often as a way to maintain one's own inflated self-image.
Elaboration:
Grandiosity:
Individuals with NPD often have an exaggerated sense of their own achievements, talents, and importance. They may be preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, or ideal love. They may also believe they are special and unique, and can only be understood by other special or high-status people.
Omnipotence:
This belief in one's own unlimited power and influence can manifest in various ways, such as feeling entitled to special treatment or believing they can control others or situations.
Devaluation:
This defense mechanism involves belittling or minimizing the qualities and achievements of others. It can be a way for individuals with NPD to protect their own fragile sense of self-esteem by elevating themselves above others. This can be seen in their interactions, where they might be dismissive, condescending, or openly critical of others.
Connection to NPD:
These traits (grandiosity, omnipotence, and devaluation) are core features of NPD, a mental health condition characterized by a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy. While these traits can be present in varying degrees and combinations, they often interact to create a pattern of interpersonal difficulties and emotional dysregulation.
It's important to note that these are just some of the characteristics associated with NPD, and individual experiences can vary. If you are concerned about yourself or someone you know, it's best to consult with a mental health professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

This defence mechanism involves belittling or minimizing the qualities and achievements of others.
