Sorry, but not sorry Israel. This is your war and one of your own making. American is not your god damn bodyguard. YOUR enemy is not America's enemy. Iran does not have a nuke(s) but thanks to Trump they now have to green light to make as many as they want. If that tiny "shithole" of a country is nuked no one will miss it. Netanyahu so concerned with the populace while slaughtering the innocent children of another only shows me that like Trump, this man needs to be locked up where he can no longer hurt anyone.

A good point... easier to bitch about 'world crises' than the one down the road... you get to do f~ck all but bitch... like, no pressure to open your home to the homeless...

Having said that, most people can walk and fart at the same time, so most of us can have valid opinions on more than one issue without them being related, or the same.

But... having said that...

The Obama deal enabled Iran to finance and support Hamas, Hezbollah, the hootin' Hooties, Boy Assad, etc etc and maintain repression at home and support it across the world.

This is related to a wider discussion about the events that have led to this current escalation. Under JCPOA, that Obama signed, Iran was complying with the IAEA.

It was only after Trump scrapped the agreement because it had Obama's signature on it, without replacing it with another deal, that they resumed their research, enrichment and walked away from the negotiating table after Trump resumed the sanctions on them, even after they were complying.

They no longer trusted the US and resumed with the mentality that the only way to be taken seriously and the only way to ensure security was to arm themselves with nuclear weapons.

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here that you've just made a mistake and offering you a good-faith exchange, which, after your accusation, I don't believe you deserve.

Let's be absolutely clear, Iran was complying with the JCPOA until Trump unilaterally shredded the deal, reimposed sanctions, and offered nothing in return. No new agreement, no serious diplomacy, just a scorched-earth approach that sabotaged years of painstaking negotiations because it had Obama's signature on it.

Iran didn't walk away the moment Trump did. They showed restraint, continued complying for a time, even though the US had already broken its word. But eventually, reality set in, Iran realised there was no point honouring an agreement with a bad-faith actor who treats international treaties like disposable props.

This has been my consistent point all along. If you're still twisting it despite having it quoted directly in front of you, that's not a misunderstanding, it's wilful misrepresentation. And if that's the route you want to take, don't expect replies in good faith. You're not entitled to honesty from others when you refuse to give it yourself.

Iran was doing some sneaky stuff making nuclear weapons at Parchin they said IAEA couldn't inspect it because it was a sensitive military site.

When the IAEA did get in the place had been demolished and rebuilt IAEA inspectors still found traces of their sneaky stuff.
