Title: Albo missing in action
Post by Armchair_Politician on Jun 10th, 2025 at 1:46pm
A reporter for Channel 9 covering the riots and unrest in Los Angeles has been shot by a LA Police Officer for no apparent reason and what has Albo said? Nothing - not a single thing. He is pathetic, too busy sucking the orange felon’s ass.

Unacceptable’: Prime minister confirms he has spoken with injured correspondent

"Speaking at the National Press Club, Albanese labelled the incident “unacceptable” and said the government had raised the issue with the US administration.

“It is not unreasonable to think that she would not have been targeted with a rubber bullet [while reporting in LA]. It is not unreasonable to think that she could go about the coverage, clearly as people can see in the footage, clearly identified as media,” he said.

“She was clearly identified. There was no ambiguity … people should respect the role that the media play in our modern society.”

Yes.

He really needs to stand up to Diaper Don on this issue, bad sadly it looks like he isn't going to.

"You can't have the Australian prime minister meeting with the US president within days, and have this issue sidelined," Senator Hanson-Young said.

"There is no reason why the prime minister should not be picking up the phone today and asking for an explanation."

Indeed.  No reason whatsoever, except cowardice.

Geez, what do you guys want?    The PM is handling this in the first instance as a diplomatic incident - which is the right way to do it!

Compared to “Shirtfront Putin Abbott” and “I don’t hold a firehose Mate Morrison” and “He hung up on me Turnbull” aren’t you at least happy we have SOMEONE who is approaching this with some dignity?

What do you want him to do?  Declare a war?  Ban everything American?

With such an unstable person in the White House, who would have no qualms banning anything Australian in an instant, don’t you think a considered and sane approach is the way forward on this?

I agree with you VIC.

But I do like Trump's hard (on illegals) but fair (on Americans) approach.
It reminds me of Australia of old, where discipline sorted the chaff from the wheat.
Both Parties here have allowed social chaos and violence to grow undisciplined.  Hence the increase of social violence, even in Govt Schools where there is no discipline at all anymore.

Agreed Vic, but it seems like he was a bit slow to react.

He can go on TV and let the public know he'll be bringing it up with Trump when he meets him, and still be diplomatic.

Anyway, we'll see what happens.

Sure, I understand Greg.  My comments were more directed at the original OP.     They seem to forget what atrocious PMs we have had to deal with under the Coalition.     Turnbull - I had some respect for, but the other two clowns and the terrible Dutton have done permanent damage over the last decade.   Personally, I believe Albanese is not a great choice for PM, and I think some of the Labor Front Bench need to go - too many old faces, stuck in groove politics and levels of incompetence.    However, at least he is starting with tactics that are the least risk for Australia , our exports, our financial status and a host of other things instead of going straight for the “shirtfront".

Amercia could shut us down defence wise, financial wise and country wise if they want to.   Let’s keep cool and level headed until some other President takes the chair

Both Parties are at fault and failing.
Why?
Well both have chased a weakness, rather than follow their strengths.

It's like Melbourne declaring itself the Rugby League capital and Sydney claiming it's the Aussie Rules capital.
Pure Cain & Abel.
ALP chasing the Rich, NLP left with the Working Class.
Both have cancelled each other out.
The ALP over achiever, the NLP under achiever.

Leftism in both Parties - overtly in the ALP and now covertly in the NLP. Has now destroyed all that Australia has been.
The British sponsored political way has now been broken.
There is no coming back from this.
As America is closing its free-for-all recklessness down with order against being exploited by Leftism.
Australia is about to be RIPPED OPEN (the British seal removed from the the flag) and a free-for-all chaos will erupt across this continent and alas, much violence and turmoil with it.
Even now, the boats with illegals are entering Australian waters. Moslems proclaiming Moslem only sanctuaries - defended by arms, here with threats of violence against anyone here who will try to stop them.

With the British 'political' way gone here.
WHO will keep the order?
...the Leftism of the Media and it's narrative version (archaic Western) will steal the show and the doom of this country will be set upon that path. It will unleash chaos & disunity across the continent.
...but I have said this will happen for over a decade on this Forum. That Australia will fracture into many different political self serving factions like little independent nations in the free-for-all struggle to attain certainty and order, when there is none with the Left's lack of moral discipline and political authenticity.

Congratulations Australia. You didn't know how good you had it, until it was gone. No longer a British colony success. Now a new ground for ANYONE to exploit and take control - survival of the fittest, richest, well armed and more.

As the Angels sang "Looks like it's coming down on me. Down on me." Well, now it has.

The violence  and evil of the world has finally found a new home.
The British way has given a lot back to the Aborigines - as seen.
Alas, for them - the USURPER (Leftism) will betray them and let the free-for-all agenda take it all back off them in the guise of FREEDOM: freedom of minorities to do what they want, take what they want and do it with arms - just like Moslems are declaring what they will do AND THEY WILL SUCCEED because Leftism is the spineless cop out that will let the blood run free (so as not to discriminate between right and wrong).

Australia is about to be CONQUERED in sacrifice to the World's problems.

I hope you all have your raincoats.

Team Labor are diplomatic masterminds and don't need press releases until they're warranted and outcomes delivered,  Assange home , balance of Bali 9 home , clusterfk trade left by incompetents solved ... when it's fixed you will hear about it so calm down , Labor are all over it and a trillion times better at it than the absolute incompetents  :)

Unfortunatly we need the Yanks even if Trump is a dickhead....Trump will not care about a reported unless they are from Fox....Any representation should be done at a diplomatic level without Trump's involvement to avoid hurting the fat pricks fragile ego....Only 3 and a half years until he can ignore the useless fat prick haunting the White House!!!

I'm not so sure about that.

Trump has no respect for the Constitution or any other law.

He believes he is above the law.

Moreover, he's a sore loser.

If the GOP candidate loses in 2028, there is no way in the world that Trump will accept the result.

Not a chance in hell.

Thus, he will do everything he can to prevent the peaceful transition of power.

Then again, there might not even be an election in 2028.

Every day Trump breaks the law.  Every single day.

What makes you think he'll let an election be held in 2028?

She was to the side talking to a camera. You can see in the video the officer aimed at her deliberately. He's as stupid as you are if he thought she was a protestor
