A nice little passing note of some ancient and out-worn dance - or at least an attempt to approximate it .. of fleeting cultural interest, then back to the footie.

Aboriginality is a social construct created by racists without any scientific basis. .

All Aboriginal-designated agencies are therefore objectively, scientifically racist. Tsk, tsk  ::) ::)

Since then Wadumbah — which means 'Big Flood Waters'

Wouldn't have thought Noongar had a word for "Big Flood Waters", it's not something they encounter. Perhaps "Big" is relative.

Careful - don't go pointing out any inconsistencies or suggesting it could be fictional? ;D

"If you wanna fix your car, go to a mechanic," he said.

"If you want brain surgery, you go to a brain surgeon.

"But if you want to know about us, our people, come to us."

I want to know as much about Abos as about brain surgery or car mechanics. Which is very little.  The latter two I can easily avoid and nobody gets upset about it.
But I can't avoid the endless and laughably huge claims made for Abo culture ( akin to the ridiculously large claims made for Islam, and any number of primitive endeavours). And people get miffed if I express no interest. I am supposed to be joining the choir of Large Claims for Abo culture, for Islam, for the tribes of this or that region.

This is becoming  pestilential. I don't care for dot paintings, the didge, Aboriginal initiation ceremonies, humbugging, or the rest of the half primitive, half invented hooey.

"Aboriginal viewers are advised that the following program may contain images of deceuised people". WTF! It's **** ing television! Photography, moving. Hello? How do you say television in Aborigine?
Television one.

There is now a saturation of this neo-primitivist Abo nonsense. There is a limit and we have passed it.
Well, I have. And I can't be the only one.

Well - I suppose there is a parallel in that they get carried away by it......

Dang - someone today near here rescued a small pig who had been in the flood - found in a heap of debris... cunning little devil.  someone lost a herd of cows... I think one survived, miles away on a beach...  carcasses on other beaches... tragic.

A truly cultural dance group would dispense with the non-Aboriginal woven cloth and let all hang out as in days of yore.
See Google for photos.

Those South African young nubile Bantu women still dance topless publically.
Now imagine a group of Aussie male tourists watching their 'get jiggy wit it' dancing and salivating at the sight.
You can bet the Bantu men would have them covered in full body arab bedsheets quickly.
