I’m surprised even 32% Aussies are into crypto… but I’m guessing it’s from millennial gens and upward.
Housing investment is not feasible for them… so crypto investing/trading is their forte.

My son (millennial) got me into crypto.
Main holdings are XRP.
And recently when Bitcoin dropped I purchased 1% and made $500 profit, took it out and I’m still over $100 in the green … I might leave it in there for now.
I’m amazed how well meme coins do …anything mogs and dogs  ;D

Bittensor are hefty prices per coin!

Bittensor has the same tokenomics as Bitcoin. Max of 21 million, mining halve's every four years. This is helping its price atm considering it's reasonably risky.  Being the main Ai crypto helps also.

I read a while back someone (Henrik Zeberg) has predicted Bitcoin could bottom around USD$16,500 next crypto winter.  Something to keep in mind.

I think Bitcoin has had its run.
All the hype that it will go to a million… not with altcoins now looking attractive to many buyers being more affordable.
And yes always a risk… so as they say never put in more than you are prepared to lose.
I’m still in the green with Bitcoin… it’s just going sideways atm.

Can't say I'm surprised. The human race seems to thrive on scams and criminal activity these days.

Read the article yesterday, somewhere else. Found it ageist and patronising. i.e mature aged people send their crypto to strangers and lose it. If it's the same article.

Came across as more an attempt to scare people moving funds out of banks.

Considering money in banks is an unsecured loan to the bank, and the bank doesn't have to pay it back. Verses crypto in say your own hardware wallet is 100% yours.

If you have a hard wallet… with seed phrases, (and never lose the seed phrases or you can never access your crypto!) you will be so safe… you are your own bank… crypto is decentralised.

Just don’t trust scammers…. None are supposed to give any financial advice or to offer staking etc
And doing your own research helps to understand it.

We are heading into a future digitised monetary system whether we like it or not.
I still like cash but I feel the days are numbered… so I’m enjoying cash transactions as much as I can while we still have it.
Like anything modernising in life, we have to adapt to keep up and not get left behind.
Sadly many I know don’t have emails/computers, or smart phones, just a flip phone to make and receive calls.
My bro in law is in that category, insurance companies don’t send renewals or bills in snail mail so need a email… it peeves me to have to have someone else’s stuff to deal with in my emails, printing out receipts, and even making calls for him.
I do it to help out, but when he likes staying backward… we say to him to learn about computers etc get an iPad… but he won’t. Stuck in his ways.

Anyway, about our future changes, researching and learning is now… so we don’t feel overwhelmed or stuck when we arrive in the future.
