Killing and causing serious bodily or mental harm

Amnesty International documented the genocidal acts of killing and causing serious mental and bodily harm to Palestinians in Gaza by reviewing the results of investigations it conducted into 15 air strikes between 7 October 2023 and 20 April 2024 that killed at least 334 civilians, including 141 children, and wounded hundreds of others. Amnesty International found no evidence that any of these strikes were directed at a military objective.

In one illustrative case, on 20 April 2024, an Israeli air strike destroyed the Abdelal family house in the Al-Jneinah neighbourhood in eastern Rafah, killing three generations of Palestinians, including 16 children, while they were sleeping.

While these represent just a fraction of Israel’s aerial attacks, they are indicative of a broader pattern of repeated direct attacks on civilians and civilian objects or deliberately indiscriminate attacks. The attacks were also conducted in ways designed to cause a very high number of fatalities and injuries among the civilian population.

Israel had an opportunity during the ceasefire and the hostage release but didn't want to move to the second phase which, meant they had to vacate gaza so they started carpet bombing the crap out of the place again using the hostages as their excuse. It's the IDF that reports to the Israeli state and confirms/denies all reports from Gaza about events reported through the Israeli media in Gaza.

There are currently no independent journalists reporting from Gaza.

Israeli attacks have killed at least 83 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip amid a deepening Israel-induced hunger crisis, medical sources have told Al Jazeera, as hospitals in the besieged territory have recorded eight more deaths from starvation and malnutrition.

Among those killed on Tuesday were 58 aid seekers, who were shot by Israeli forces as they approached aid distribution sites operated by the United States- and Israeli-backed GHF.

Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, reporting from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, said the “same exact scenario plays out in Gaza every single day” since GHF distribution sites began operating in May.

“Palestinians are approaching these distribution sites,
waiting for food, but the Israeli forces are opening fire,” Khoudary said.

I've seen plenty of footage from out of iran over the years, by western media. Same with russia and china. Pol pot was before my time, i'm not as old as you but I'm pretty sure the internet wasn't around back then either.

The journo's, even in a plane from another country, were not allowed to film over gaza because if they did the israeli's told them they would not allow future air drops.

Five Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in an Israeli strike near Gaza City's Al-Shifa Hospital, the broadcaster has said.

Correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh, plus cameramen Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa were in a tent for journalists at the hospital's main gate when it was targeted, Al Jazeera reported.

The "targeted assassination" was "yet another blatant and premeditated attack on press freedom", it said in a statement.

Shortly after the strike, the IDF confirmed that it had struck Anas al-Sharif, posting on Telegram that he had "served as the head of a terrorist cell in Hamas".

The IDF did not mention any of the other journalists who were killed.

In total, seven people died in the strike, Al Jazeera reports. The broadcaster initially said that four of its staff had been killed, but revised it to five a few hours later.

Its managing editor, Mohamed Moawad, told the BBC that al-Sharif was an accredited journalist who was "the only voice" for the world to know what was happening in the Gaza Strip.

Throughout the war, Israel has not allowed international journalists into Gaza to report freely. Therefore, many outlets rely on local reporters within Gaza for coverage.

"They were targeted in their tent, they weren't covering from the front line," Mr Moawad said of the Israeli strike.

"The fact is that the Israeli government is wanting to silence the coverage of any channel of reporting from inside Gaza," he told The Newsroom programme.

"This is something that I haven't seen before in modern history."

That's what the second phase was about but because the IDF had to leave gaza they started bombing the crap out of the place ever since. Some people here have got short memories.
